J0e Th0rnton and 17 - Was just reminded of another podcast I've listened to you both might like called "Crimetown" - season 1 & 2 at least.
Did you only listen to the season 1 episode so and so or did you listen to the 2 dozen clips and bits too?
He has a lot of non podcast just youtube video where he talks stuff. His stories about busting the FBI agents balls in Quantico are hilarious
He wasn't made tho lol. Some of the names they get saddled with must suck. Louis haha. Chicken man, the oddfather, cockeyed Lou, quack quack, big tuna ....lol Listening to podcasts did show me I was pronouncing a mafia family name wrong for years. Lucchese I had only read and thought was pronounced lew cheese. Didn't realize it was lew Casey.
Listening to everything? Or just the episodes? Lol I wanna know if you listened to some of his Quantico stories yet?
Was an apt name considering he never shut the fuck up and was personally responsible for getting several high level guys bugged haha
Amazing interview with David Goggins - https://overcast.fm/+Org_7gs5E If you’re not familiar with Goggins, he’s a bit insane. His approach to taking control of your life is over the top - he went from being an overweight self-proclaimed loser to a Navy Seal who runs ultra marathons with stress fractures in his legs. While I find him over the top, there are some great nuggets in his approach and this interview is a life changer & worth a listen.
why? What have your read or listened to you that gets that reaction? I think he’s insane but a lot to learn and take in from what he’s teaching.
Goggins actually talks about motivation not being a real thing to dig in on. I've admittedly only listened to one interview but it's got my interest. I'm in a phase of life where I'm making a lot of changes and listening to different methods and approaches as I tackle things is all good input. ie: I'm having my mid-life crisis, I need all the help I can get.
Another way to phrase it - I know I don't have life figured out, especially when it comes to making big changes. There are a ton of voices, or "motivational speakers" out there, as you've said. Goggins approach is different and I appreciate that. more hard line - changing your life is hard, stop being a wuss about it, here's how to tackle it.
Lol - I know he's been on the Rogan podcast and it doesn't surprise me. Prior to being Mr. Anti Vaxx Covid denier, Rogan actually said some stuff that made sense as well and it's part of why he became so popular.
I've never seen someone fall of a cliff of stupidity as bad as that guy. It's a shame too because he took millions of people with him.
Another specific episode recommendation but the entire Podcast, Cheat, is worth a look. This specific episode talks about the incidents that led to the belief of a link between vaccines and autism. Pertinent today with all the mis-informed debate over COVID vaccines - really, it’s this point in time that put any questions on the value of vaccines and it was all a big pile of dog poop: https://overcast.fm/+s5vjwHank
