All that grease from the underside of your vehicle, the exhaust fumes, etc... that's all going into that water and is going to contribute to the destruction of nature. Awesome!
Today when I flush the toilet the same thing is going to happen, Everone contributes some how, most don't even know they are doing it.
When I flush the toilet, it goes to a water recycling plant between Round Rock and Georgetown that is authorized by the Wells Branch M.U.D. (Municipal Utility District) and all of the 'waste' is used for composting. Everyone contributes somewhat, but you know... some of us 'contribute' as little as humanly possible and also ensure that when we do 'contribute' that things are being taken care of down the line. I know where my waste goes, how many can say the same thing? I have even visited the water treatment plant.
i bury stryafoam cups full of used motor oil down beside rivers and lakes in our community. beat that
That would be hard to beat, because that is horrible... but you're spoiling your own land so that's on you. :0
So pat. You should stop driving your car right this second. No different then driving a truck through the woods.
Except it is different, because runoff once again gets processed at water processing plants. Also my car meets ULEV standards as an ULTRA-LOW emissions vehicle and I rarely am in it alone. Like I said, I'm doing all I can.
wonder where that article is when the US aircraft carrier was in the harbour & dumped its waste in there!!!
That is terrible, but doubtful that it was the only one that ever did that. Probably ships registered to many other countries have done the same in your harbour and in the open ocean as well. It's pretty normal, actually... they usually just wait 'till they are farther out to do it. Sucks, but that's how things work with those dealies... and it's not just the US, your country is simply on a US-hater trip (little brother syndrome) so that's what they publish! Brainwashing is easy for ya'll, apparently.
