Just doing some shopping now that the Canadian dollar is moving up. Hopefully I will get some rims before winter and slap em' on next Spring. Opinions on these??
If they come with center caps to cover up that ugly polished center, then I like them. And i'm not a fan of gold wheels on a bright red car such as yours is. They would look much better if the spokes were a darker color.
I said the same thing about the lack of center caps when I saw them. They will be made to specs, so I'm sure I can get buddy to throw something "Porschey" in the middle. They are WORK rims, but I'm gonna have them modified by a guy in Kentville. Not sure on the gold either - I did pop some gold BBS's on the car over the summer and they didn't look that bad, but I do think a darker color would look better too. Darker gold or would you go another direction altogether?
yup lose the polished center cap and you'd be set. If you dont go with those make sure you definatly go deepdish.
You're not kidding. LM's are by far IMO the classiest and nicest looking wheel that have ever been created. Porsche center caps are available for them as well, and you can order the wheel in any offset, staggard size combo, color etc etc that you want. You'll pay for them, however if you are looking at Jap spec WORK wheels, i'm sure their pricing is not an issue, thus why I suggested these. Front wheel:
This will give you an idea.. http://www.custom-wheels-rims-alloys.co.uk/bbs-lm-alloy-wheels-rims.html
Gold is where its at the wheels on my civic are gold(for sale $500) I think gold looks sweet but it depends on the color of the car.
I had gold wheels with a polished lip on my car last summer and they looked pretty good. Don't know if a red car would be able to pull it off though.
not feeling the extreme gold... try somthing like this: Forged spun alum. light as fuck = less rotating mass = better acceleration http://www.billetwheel.com/cgi/wheels.cgi?cmd=show_image&path=Forged_Series&img=8&tn=1
Minus the blingin polish, those rims were made for a Porsche I actually have one of these three piece wheels down in my basement. Its an 18"X12 I think, rear rim off a GT3SR, got it in Sebring a few years ago. The lip is bent and the main part has a small crack in it but it'll make a good base for a table coffee table one of these days.
I like the gold ones posted, but on a red car, not so sure. But the BBS LM are VERY sexy......Couldn't go wrong with either IMO.
