Oh how I miss those nights! You picking us up at Walmart, Nicole sharing her joy of the etrain with me, sucking tounge rings, joints in holes in the wall on the way to the palace, my zebra shoes.
The best thing about JJ's was that all different people would go there no matter where they usually go for the night so you got to see a ton of different people. I could get off work Friday or Sat night and know I could find Carl, Nicole and the gang at JJ's or if late enough the Palace. It was great, no planning, calling or anything we would just know where to meet. The only time we would call each other is if we didn't show up lol
    Those were the days

For sure, great times. So long ago though :( And you're right, it was pretty much a guaranteed thing, no need to call anyone, you just showed up with whoever you were going with, and everyone else was already there.

I don't think I've drank rum, or some stupid coctail (ie alabama slammer :kekeke:) from a pitcher with a straw since. :(

Sooo many memories in this thread, but thanks to the $1 drinks they are pretty blurry.

My step father used to DJ there and my aunt used to work there. I knew JJ's would lead to some interesting nights before I had my beginners.

I had VIP at JJ's before I was legal, and this wasn't a big deal because if you couldn't get in before you turned 19 you were not trying hard enough.

Me, Angell, and others not on RC used to KILL JJ's. Even though our bartender would make fun of Angell's drink choice lol.

A few things from this thread:
The hidden staircase affectionately known as the VIP exit. I never had the pleasure of this experience.

What is this drink line that everybody is talking about? I would just chunk up a duece from the corner and my 2 double rum and coke's were WIP.

    I could go on...

Oh and Rob. My Grandmother is Sybil from Sybil's Sweets. And I was a pickey eater and a sneaky kid behind the counter so if you have ever eaten a chocolate from there .... How do I taste?

The only thing Sybil's Sweets ever let me down on was those styrafoam planes, I never did get the blue double decker one with 2 propeller's..sigh.

Rory sent me a text a few weeks ago saying that he saw "Palace Erin" working at Cheers, well, "palace erin" started out as "JJ's Erin". Best waitress ever......never a drink limit when she was serving our crew, always as many doubles as you could fit on a tray.

And poor Isiah, the busboy who we would get hammered every night. That poor fucker couldn't have been doing any work, every time he stopped by our table we'd have him blast back two doubles as fast as he could.

Oh the memories, back in the days when there'd always be some dude you know at the bottom of the stairs firing 20's into a VLT

I've done the JJ's to Merills a few time when I was in the city visiting friends. worst drunk ever started at a power hour at JJ's and ended with me getting tossed from Merills and puking on the sidewalk with people cheering me on

Haha. the only bar where we got gold VIP cards! I loved the huge shot list upstairs. Three of us used to go and try and do as many shots as possible and we would check them off as we went. And you didn't double fist glasses, you double fisted pitchers. It was great because no matter how much I pounded into me all night, I'd go to pay my tab and they would be "uh, i don't know, five bucks?"

    Good times:happysad:

I seriously don't know how you guys remember all these drunken stories. I'm pretty much blank from 17-22. After that it all comes back, but those years are no more than a blur. I know i've been to JJ's, but its been so long that the stories have slipped away forever. I was kinda done with downtown shortly into my 20's. Like '98-'99 or so.
