Have you tried CBD based pet treats? We've done this with our dog as she'll puke for any car ride longer than 45 minutes. It calms her down just enough.
I have not. But I will certainly check that out. I've seen them for dogs, I'll look for some cat based ones for when I move. Merci!
Thanks. In Lincoln for the time being, but looking to buy in the Hanwell/Harvey area as soon as the right place pops up!
Meet Sophie, our new 12 week old English style golden retriever. Normally I would get a mutt but due to the strong attachment to our last dog, we wanted to find a white/cream golden that looked like Shelby and they aren't as easy to come across. Me meeting her for the first time The trip home from PEI Bailey meeting her for the first time Buddies already She is so damn smart, I got to get her trained before she trains me.
The first pic is the new puppy's mom (Charm) and the second is Shelby the day we had to put her down :'( Given the pics I have on work laptop its the best pics I could compare with, but in real life, Shelby's mom and her were identical. Sophie as a pup has already had me tear up multiple times because she reminds me so much of Shelby in every way, I feel guilty for falling in love with her so much already, like I am erasing Shelby :'(
The blonde has leaned out and dropped 15 lbs which is great! The gazelle in the middle has maintained and naturally the pup is catching up quickly! His jowels are simply the best! <3
Did you get the Black from a breeder and is she a field / US lab? - Tall thin and sleek as opposed to short and stocky like a show / English Lab. We are looking into planning for the future. Our three girls are old. Two of them turned 12 in February and our purebred will be 12 in September.
Both of mine are from the same parents. Mom was an English and Dad was an American. The black lab is male and takes after Dad and the yellow female takes after her Mom. Unfortunately both parents passed away a year ago and I have not heard if she's looking to breed again as of late. I couldn't be without a black now that I've had him. He'll be 6 in August and my female is 8.
We lean towards the blacks. I iam pretty sure our next girl will be another black or maybe a black lab mix.
Somebody mentioned CBD treats. I've recently started giving my dog CBD oil for arthritis and it's going really well. I had been giving him prescribed anti-inflammatory pills, but they made him super sick to his stomach. Switched that prescription to another pill and that made him drowsy to the point he could barely get up and stand up. So then I tried Hemp based full spectrum CBD oil (10mg a day) but I found it didn't do anything at all. I switched him to a marijuana derived CBD oil (10mg CBD/0.4mg THC) and he's much more happy and active than he has been since the winter. THC is toxic obviously to dogs, but 0.4mg isn't going to affect him and I had to try something. Turns out it was a good call. Going to up his dose to little by little until he's at the peak we can get him given the condition. This doggo needs no CBD, she's plenty active. Sophie not wanting me to work...
Meet Tillie, a Lab/boxer rescue pup from Texas. Was so weird picking her out when she was only a few weeks old and needing to wait until she was 4 months to get her. Her mom was found wandering near the border very pregnant back in February and had a 9 pups at the foster home. We got her in Mid June and she has been such an amazing dogger.
Sophie going for a drive in the wagon for the first time. She likes it for about 10 mins, then she yaks...every time.
Puppy? What puppy? There's no puppy around here. Sassy absolutely loves our cats, but they don't love her. Our senior cat Squeakers is 12 and he's the only one that will play with her.
Got photos done recently and I brought the pup. Wish the photog had of told me she was looking up when she snapped the pic. I could have gotten her to look at the camera better
We've been giving our dogs a bone (split in half) a day from their advent calendar. They are going to lose their shit on e there are none left...they expect it now.
