If I uninstall Netscape Navigator from my computer will that delete all the pics that are in Netscape format? Most of the pics come up in Netscape and they take way to long to come up and I just wanna use IE....
i'm not 100% sure but it shouldn't delete the pics, just when you go to open them it might not view them since they are requiring a format from netscape. might give you some "Unable to open" error
Netscape format? Not sure what you are going for there... but who uses a browser to view pictures they have on their local drive anyway? That's just horribly inefficent... download something like ACDSee and be done with it.
So, you associated that picture format with Netscape? You should be able to just change that association. Or download a proper graphics viewer (like I said above) and make it the default viewer for all the graphics formats... once you do that and it's working, uninstall away...
The easiest way is to set another program as the default viewer. Usually when you open another viewer it will say something like "XX is not the default application. Would you like it do be?" or something like that. Say yes, and it will just take over. I can't think of an easy way to un-default a program, just set a new defualt. But, I just sell the servers now, not work on them, so I'm kinda fuzzy on that stuff now... I'm sure one of the professional support guys like 96Accord, DIQ or Boots could give a better discription.
Right click on the pic..choose open with..Choose program.. and choose the program you want to open it with Make sure you put a check in "Always use the selected program tp open this kind of file"
Yeah, what he said! D'oh... ever since I went over to the sales side I've forgotten how to do all the simple things... but the money's better, so I'm ok with it.
WHen I left click I don't get the option of opening it with another application? How can i set my default as IE as oppesed to Netscape?
