I don't know were to post this question so here will do anyway I'm wondering if there is a way to put a lock/password on the tools bar in the Internet Explorer i'm using windows XP. anyway reason is my brother keeps going on porno sites and they leave tons of shit on my computer then he goes and erases the history and cokkies and shit so he just keeps denying it so is there anyway i can put a lock/passowrd on these options? Thanks for any help.
Cut his nuts off, that is the only way to stop a guy from looking at any form or pr0n Seriously, just sit down and chat to him, tell him to stop deleting the history and cookies once he's done jerkin'.
man ive tried it all i'm just not gonna let him use my computer anymore fuck i hate when people won't admit to stuff..
I'll check with my hubby on that one for you. It seems to me there must be a way to put a lock on your internet access to prevent him from searching on adult sites. The only suggestion I have in the meantime, is to change your password on your internet account and don't save it in your computer. That way the only way he can log onto the internet at all is with your permission, and if necessary your supervision as well. (depending on how old he is)
FYI, my hubby is a computer technician, and knows a hell of a lot more about computers than I. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother consulting him at all
windows xp is a profiles driven operating system. you should set it up so when you log into windows xp you have to log into your profile every time. create a secondary profile for your brother with a seperate password with no internet access. another option is to enable content advisor through windows explorer properties menu and set a password that only you know thereby eliminating his potential access That is from my tech hubby. hope it helps.
Bingo, if you're running XP, create a 2nd login profile for him to use and specify what things he does not have access to. Your account would be the admin account and his would be a secondary with privelages. That will work.
