I was out in the shed getting the shop-vac, and when I walked past her car, the panic-button alarm started beeping and the lights flashing. I went inside and was prepared to meet a hysterically laughing wife, but she was upstairs, and both sets of keys for her car were in the kitchen on the hook.

    She never pushed the button.

I cancelled the alarm with the fob. She didn't do it. She thought I did it.

Could someone in town possibly have a device running the same RF?

It's definitely possible. I used to set off this BMW's car alarm whenever I armed my car, I'd try to avoid parking close to him but every once in a while I'd accidently park out of view and still set it off.

My buddy's alarm on his P5 controlled a Cavalier that was in another friend's parking lot.
