ive got to stop being lazy and tear the motor out.

short term goals are motor rebuilt/new exhaust.

buy a house with a big garage to house the beetle.

look for a old Lincoln next summer.

managed a trade for a turbo kit. should be shipped here monday or tuesday.

have to now acquire a oil cooler, filter, as well as oil pressure/temp/boost/airfuel gauges.

later this summer ill rebuild and get a pro street trans.

then i will hopefully be able to drive it the way i want.

Hopefully it's just the packaging that's damaged, and the contents are fine :x:

Carbs off. Stupid tin off. Intake manifold on and charge pipes.

Tommorow is cleaning, cutting and manifold day. Then hopefully I can find some oil line and a throttle cable in town.

doug goes to a shop tommorow.

looking into stand alone engine management, possibly fuel injection.

mechanic thinks if we go injection with management/launch control for building boost i can do wheelies.

Haha this is going to be amazing.
Standalone definitely gives you more flexibility. I am still learning though, coming from carburetors, but I'll get there. It is kind of neat to just press a few buttons on the laptop and control the car in realtime.

Mechanic suspects it will do wheelies. I'm selling the turbo kit that came with it and going full custom. Ideally 12-15 pds of boost until the heads blow off.

Also talk of doing a Audi tranny swap as I'll need a new one anyway. Beetle will be one of two that I know of worldwide with a 5h gear

    Forgot to post this yesterday.

As for today, ordered some parts, some gauges. saw some mockups of the intercooler in the car. imagine the old porsche 911 wing. should be a time.
