I love it! Really aggressive with numbers to back it up. Too bad its a one off from what I can gather.
Man that must sound soo good, ITB + V8 = . A honda V8 eh? thats a first, must have a really short stroke as the max torque and redline reflect it.
Look....honda makes a v8 and they still can't make any torque. fucking junk. Nice car. loss like 1500 rpm and gain some torque and they might have a bitchin car
How is 383lbs tq "not making any torque" sure the hp to tq ratio is distant but 383lbs is far from not making any torque.
What, almost 400lbs/ft isn't enough for you?? I guess when you are a FORD fan and are used to your less power and torque from more displacement its hard to accept.... Show me a V8 around 4L's that has considerably more torque and isn't blown
383ftlbs is still a very respectable amount of torque. If you lost the RPM, youd loose the HP too. notice that peak HP comes at 9500rpm. Id like to see the dyno graph for the car. See how it does down low in the rpm. Nice looking car. i like the hood scoop.
383 tq is alot yes. but in a car that has 600hp that is pretty low. Problem that honda always had is they never made enough torque. and this just keeps it going. you need torque just as much as you need hp. in some cases more. a well build car has a good balance of hp and tq. honda lacks that concept.
I ain't no hater. i am car fan that respects all car. ask anyone that knows me well and besides the typical honda jokes, and thats all that was. i don't hate on anything. I am just stating that they should try to build a car that actually puts out a good amount of torque to match its hp rating. what would be wrong with that car being 500hp and 500tq at 8000rpm. nothing that would be a sweet ride. its just something about 600hp with 383 tq at 9500rpm that doesn't work for me
He must have a hate on for Ferarri because they must have missed the hp to torque balance class too. Probably skipped the no replacement for displacement class as well. We all know that both Honda and ferarri have never made a well balanced car....or one as well balanced as a ford escort. Just playin
Oh please tell us Mr. Allwiseandmighty. . . The build cars that you make, what are their hp and tq curves like?
They do, they are all longstroke motors, in which they all pretty well produce more torque then HP. F22A1 F22A4 F22B1 F22B2 H23A1 F22A6 J30A1 C30A1
Mugen does HOnda's racing programs, and in racing other than drag racing you rely on the engine's ability to make hp during peak acceleration and they don't spend much time in the below-5250RPM range when you're racing (at least if you're geared right) so your argument is pretty daft. Show me an F1 car's specs, please.
first off: ITS NOT A FUCKING F1 CAR!!!!!! Well you can all trash on what i believe. but if that car was more EQUAL in the hp and tq as i stated before (500hp/500tq) it would be better. ASMD - you should know better with your experience with the muscle cars that you need torque just as much as hp, must be the all the honda getting to u I feel that it if you took that car and put it on a track with the same car with the specs that i stated (500hp/500tq @ 8000rpm) that it would preform better than that high hp screamer. Just my $0.02. if you don't like it. too bad. [/argument]
Some lucky little Jap engineeer has probably flogged that thing for thousands of miles on a test track
