its still kinda sad, after so many years, really we have only produced 2 upper level players, Giggy and Tanguay. Hopefully Jakub becomes a star

Well, Nagy had some good seasons and Shelley is still a big part of San Jose's team but you're right... i wish we had some more big players come out of halifax

I suspect Rane Carnege will be in there as well. Not NHL calabre talent I guess...but while he played for the herd.....he was always a fan favorite.

    he's a bum!

On August 18, 2008 Nagy signed with Cherepovets of the Russian Kontinental Hockey League for two years worth 5.6 million. Nagy intended to use this time to get back to the NHL by regaining his form and health

He (Nagy) is playing in the Kontinental Hockey League over in Russia, probably offered him more money to play.

Probably, Nagy was doing on with the Blues, then the injuries started, then he shit the bed when he got traded. He was though, by far, the most dominant offensive machine to ever put on a mooseheads jersey

I don't see any reason why Brandon Benedict won't be in the top 5.

I don't think Benedict would make the top 5 but he could certainly crack the top 8. He was a favorite but i think Reid, Tanguay, Nagy, Giguere and Shelley were more popular with fans

If they had a list for LEAST favorite mooseheads players, I think that MARCHAND would be well in the lead.

I went to a game last year and listened to the whole SECTION boo him every single time he touched the puck.
There were people in front of us that were definetly his family, wearing a Marchand jersey, that were getting pretty ticked off at that.

    Hes a fuckin bum

I think that if it ends up being mostly season ticket holders who voted, he'll end up pretty high.
He played 5 season in Halifax and was the heart and soul of the team for is last 2 seasons.

I remeber playing against Brandon in H.S. when he was a couple years younger then us. Everyone knew he was going to be good back then and even being the young guy on on a pretty stacked Kings Edgehill side he was still able to stand out.

Ali MacEachern works with me now at Sobeys Warehouse in Debert. He is also playing hockey in the Debert Commercial League.

Also, when you are mentioning players that have made it big why hasn't one brought up Pascal Leclaire. He plays for the Columbus Blue Jackets (starter, until he got injured) started for team Canada last year & I believe he played in a All Star game or two.

David Brine is playing good in the AHL, played 5 games for the Panthers last year & he is one of the few that are actually from around here. He grew up 5 minutes down the road from me, went to school, played on the same team every other years since he is younger then me.
