Merry Christmas to you too! As for the New Year...I'm keeping expectations low so that it can only go up, haha. Thankful to be able to have small get-togethers for now!

    It's been a very 50/50 Xmas.

On the upside we have Nolan and his first Xmas...but downside I had to euthanize my 14 yo lab Bailey this morning.

I knew it was coming, and then am grateful for everything I have, my 2020 wasn't great but better than so many others...it still sucks though. Bring on 2021.

I hope everyone else had a safe and happy Xmas!

I understand how you feel Wayne. A week ago we had to put my 18 1/2 year cat down. She was not in any pain but had been failing due to feline dementia. It was a very hard decision to make. I don't know if she even knew us for who we were or if we just gentle hands that picked her up to comfort her.

And on the strange side of things, our 10 month old Black Lab named Bailey went into heat Christmas Day.

Definitely felt like a mixed bag Christmas. We were shopping for funeral clothes on Christmas Eve - my wife’s grandfather passed away.

Jesus. Sorry to hear that. That's awful. We all know it's part of life; and assuming your wife is in the same age bracket as you, the grandfather had a long life. But nobody should have to go through that at Xmas time. Sorry dude.

Sorry to hear that Wayne. Did you get any rise out of Nolan with Xmas morning? Any excitement?

At 9 days old, only thing that made him smile was a fart.

He was 96. It was still unexpected - he fell and broke a hip while we were in quarantine, never really recovered, discovered some of the reason he was having trouble healing was because he had undiagnosed leukemia. On the bright side, part of the reason we made this trip was to see him (and his wife, who is still going at 95, but has dementia and doesn't recognize us). It has been good to be hear and support the entire family.

 That's awesome. Figured maybe some lights or the tree. But farting? Little dude already shows promise.
