    What does the 16x64 mean?

    nothing is just the number of chips the module has, u just decide basing on speed, type of module n number of pins. Although sometimes it's important to know if it's double sided or not (chips on both sides of the memory or just 1 one side) cause some computers (specially compaq-hp) give trouble with this

    As far as I know it's the configuration of the chips on the ram itself. 8 on the front and 8 on the back.

    16x64-8 means 16- chips
    64- 64 mb per side
    8- 8 chips per side
    I'm not 100% positive about that but it makes sense to me. CL2 means cas latency 2 if you were wondering though,I know that much.
