Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a limo service that uses nice vehicles and can hold 10-12 people to take us to and from and event? Any of the limo services I've looked at in Halifax either have nice vehicles that can't hold that many or they can, but they use a Ford van or the like. Something like a stretch Hummer would be good. Thanks.
I am getting a limo for my 25th b-day in march, so i too will soon need some recommendations for a limo service, and this thread is perfect
I can't remember company names but there are a couple of limo buses that recently got licensed by the NSURB to operate charter service in HRM. Make a few calls and specify a limo bus when asking for prices.
Thanks! When you say "limo bus" what type of vehicle are we talking about? The actual luxury busses, or like a stretch Hummer/Excursion?
I can't remember the name of the company, but we used something like the "limo bus" pictured here for my buddies bachelor party. http://www.townlimo.ca/fleet.shtml It may have been this one. I was hammered, but the bus looks familiar.
The site has a better picture of the inside of the bus and a description here. http://www.townlimo.ca/news.html
I called these guys when I was planning the bachelor party, but their rates were a little high. http://www.partybuscanada.com/
My g/f's work uses A World Class Limousine service. http://www.aworldclasslimousine.ns.ca/ They had a really nice white Mercedes limo bus at her holiday party a couple weekends ago.
Its the Town Limo name I couldn't remember and the links in other replies show the unit. Someone else mentioned a party bus service and that the rates were high. Bus operators in NS do not have any ability to negotiate the invoice issued to their customers since the NSURB still regulates the bus industry pricing as part of the motor carrier license held by operators. They can suspend or cancel the permit if an operator "makes a deal" and an audit finds it. The URB has full access to financial data of bus companies so not many will take a chance.
I think we dealt with Prestige for my bday party in the summer, it was like 20 bucks a person and it was awesome. Will do again
I can only vouch for the owner of Town Limo. I used to work with him around 1999-2000 and he was extremely polite and professional, and extremely friendly.
I say the exact opposite. I had several issues with him... not going into huge details. One was him bailing on our Staff Christmas Party and leaving 20+ sitting at doolys in bedford waiting.....
I had a limo for my 21st birthday. It was only a 8 seater , Im sure they have bigger ones. Its called prestige ...456 4274. I only paid $ 125.00(or less, cant remember) per hour.
For my prom we left our planning of drives wayyyy too late, and ended up mooching off of other people, we ended up going in a white stretch limo with purple tinted windows and instead of a sunroof there were mirrors on the ceiling.
