Recently I noticed that my roommate sleeps with her light on. I personally can't sleep with any light on (and it's a huge waste of power)
No light in the bedroom but a few small LED lights in the hall/kitchen area so I can get up and take a leak or get a drink without having to turn on main lights/ruin my night vision.
I can sleep anywhere, any time regardless of the light or noise. It might be something wrong with me but if I wanted to have a nap, I could lay down on the floor here beside my desk and be asleep in ten minutes
Oh me too - I just turn that shit off before laying down typically. On that note... I could go for a good floor nap about now...
Depends on how tired I am really. If i'm tired I can sleep pretty much anywhere and in any conditions. If I'm not tired but should be sleeping (ie need to be awake in 5 hours or something) I need darkness. The wife on the other hand sleeps with an eye mask and ear plugs (and I don't snore).
No lights no sound. Use an eye mask as well, sometimes ear plugs. I'm telling you, once you use an eye mask, you will never go back. I have no idea how anyone can sleep with the tv on...drives me.
Me too. I can fall asleep in the middle of the day in the sun for a nap no issue, if a light is too bright in my bedroom at night (cable box or something) I'd cover it, but otherwise, I don't need pitch black.
I wish I could sleep anytime/anywhere. I can't even leave my laptop on in my room because of the lights and the humming noise it makes.
If you're using an LED light bulb, it's barely using any power at all. Not really relevant to your initial question, but unless you're still using old incandescent bulbs, it's not really as big a deal as it used to be.
I don't know what kind of light bulbs she uses in her room. I use all the newer ones though. I won't say anything to her about it because well, we split the bill, and she's barely home where I work casual so I'm home most of the day and use just as much or more electricity than her. (Even though I don't leave lights on in a room if I'm not in it; unless it's the bathroom, the light has to be on in order for the plug to work )
I don't have trouble falling asleep. I have trouble staying asleep. Any time after I've slept for four-five hours it takes little to wake me. So, my alarm clock is turned away from me, and I prefer having the display on the heat pump off. Just one light on in the bathroom and I pretty well walk there with my eyes almost shut during the night.
I have a horrible habit of needing the tv on and find it incredibly hard to fall asleep if I don't. I don't leave any lights on. I also prefer the fan on or a window open no matter what season.
I have trouble falling asleep without TV on. I try to remember to use the sleep timer, cause sometimes being woken up by the TV sucks
I wish I could fall asleep easily. If I'm exhausted, I may fall asleep with the TV on or a light, but when actually going to bed I need it to be dark and quiet (with the exception of white noise, like a fan).
I am in Boots category, I can sleep anywhere at any time. My wife, unfortunately, need the perfect setup. This includes a high powered fan, that can't be directed towards us (even in the summer). When we go on trips, we bring the fan with us. It's crazy, but it works for her.
I have made several suggestions, but they have turned it bad results. No biggie to place the fan in the back of the truck for my wife. If it helps her feel comfortable, why not?
