I think it's only Manitoba and Quebec that want to do that.
As a shareholder, I'm happy they aren't banning promo materials and I think home growing should be open to everyone as well. Anyone can home brew booze. There's not much difference.
I don’t see any difference once it’s legal.
If I can brew 100’s of bottles of wine you should be able to grow some plants
They are overestimating how many people will put in the work to home grow.
The problem I’ve heard about growing at home is the smell - not an issue when you live have your own house, but a pain in the ass in apartment/condo/townhouse situations.
True, I think a lot of landlords won’t allow it anyways.
and that's fine. Landlords should be able to write that stuff into your lease.
And if you don’t agree with that change, your allowed to break the lease with 3 months notice.
I'll grow it in the greenhouse, but supposedly not that easy to grow well...might not be worth the hassle
man, they will find a way to mess this up:
They want to treat it like it's still illegal, it's too bad...
Exactly, and spending more money to enforce pot laws, wasn't that the point of legalization to save money on prosecuting pot offences?
I'm surprised public consumption is legal vs consumption venues actually. It's the opposite for booze, drink in bars but not as you walk down the street
Best part is, the idiots coming up with these ideas probably love to sit down with a cold beer or glass of wine.
I can kinda agree with the no outdoor growing, they are trying to avoid kids getting ahold of it, they mention smell as well, but not being a pot smoker I have no idea how smelly it is
I have in my leases that cultivation is not allowed, as well as smoking/vaping. The moisture and smell is way too difficult to deal with.
Vaping should be allowed, especially with concentrates. It leaves no smell.
Oct 17th. Little later than expected but whatever lol https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/cannabis-pot-legalization-bill-1.4713839
This is a pretty historic shift in attitudes. 90 years of prohibition
90 years of prohibition that was purely based on some asshole white dudes that didn't want the competition for their paper mills, and clothing companies
Puts Trump in an even scarier light when you realize what can come from a powerful man not afraid to lie.
You do as you wish with your properties, no one has had an issue stepping outside.
I had 3 of these in my mail slot. They must assume I’m a user
Legal cannabis has an excise stamp. Stuff you grow at home won't. It doesn't even mention you can grow your own.
They want people coming to the stores Home growing won't be done by many imo
that info should still be on there
I'm just happy they allow it tbh
agree'd, it's not something I will do but have at it for whoever wants to
So pot is going to be legal on Wednesday. Pretty crazy!
saw an article saying no way the legal suppliers will be able to keep up with the demand on Wednesday.
Actually no article just a stupid video
