Just like the porn room at Bonanza Video
They better have those beads hanging in the doorway
I'm all about concentrates and vape pens now so I won't be buying there.
Way too questionable imo. God knows what you're inhaling unless you're getting them right from a medical supplier.
I guess what I'm saying is how many cops, lawyers, Drs, teachers etc are going to want to be on public display to buy their weed? For example out your way it will be that one store that services all of sackville, fall river etc closest ones being halifax or the new one they released yesterday in New Minas. So say someone lives, teaches in the sackville area, are they going to feel comfortable walking into the NSLC in sackville to get their stash with a possibility of running into parents etc
At first it might be weird but to me it's no different than seeing one of those people picking up a case of beer
Right, you may feel like that, but how many others don't. Like I saw officer so and so buying weed, or I saw your daughter's teacher buying, Did you see Dr blah blah there... it's going to take a while I think
I mean that happens with the NSLC and teachers now FFS... nothing to hear people say I saw Mr/Ms so and so at the liquour store... or to head students say to some teachers so you going to get drunk this weekend.. shit like that
Will also be very interesting to see if any employers step up and start making statements, policies..
The policies will be key for sure. Going to be a very weird transition initially. I told my mom we were going to have a puff when it's legal and she was like 'oh god no, that stuff ruins people lives! I don't do drugs!' ..... and she's sitting there sipping a glass of wine. I was like 'sorry mom, you're doing drugs right now and the drug you are doing has caused infinitely more harm than marijuana ever has'
LOL yup, that's exactly it. I can drink myself into oblivion and that's somewhat acceptable. It's that whole generation of this is your brain on drugs
The more I look at drug policy, the more I realize that drugs shouldn't be treated as a criminal problem. They should all be legal and revenues should go towards education and treatment. I'm not suggesting heroin should be legal but you shouldn't go to jail for it, you should go to the hospital to detox and get off it.
People are doing heroin in pill form and going to work on a daily basis.
Crazy eh. When I finally got in to see the pain specialist last June for a previous car accident, the first option that was given to me was opiates. I was like umm no thanks, I’m from Glacé Bay originally, I see what that shit does. Then it was I can do these injections of a local anesthetic. I was like ok let’s try those. No way I wanted to fuck around with pills
The Nova Scotia government obviously hasn't thought through the social implications of their initial legal pot sales. I've also heard landlords are pretty upset about the laws stating you can grow plants - what happens in an apartment when someone starts growing weed and the stench starts affecting the rest of the tenants?
Even here in Washington where weed has been legal for a while and it is "mostly" accepted, it is still nice that it is in a separate store and that there are so many of them, you can go where you feel comfortable as opposed to having to walk through a store where you're likely to run into a neighbor who will criticize/judge you for the choice. The criticism/judging may dissipate over time, but it will never completely go away, IMO.
It is all going to be separate here as well and landlords will have final say about rentals.
Municipalitys will also have the final say on where and how many stores they will allow. One of the larger ones down in the lower mainland, I think it is Richmond, is considering not allowing any pot sales.
cocaine and MDMA are used medically as well
Talk of mushrooms (Psilocybin) having medical benefits too
There was an Episode of drugs inc about mushrooms. This man grew his own, took one dose every 6 months to get rid of cluster migraines. Said he hated it and the high but was the only thing that worked for him. Supposedly resets the brain.
They’ve amended the tennancy bylaws or whatever so that the landlords can include no smoking etc in their leases (even previously signed ones). Believe they need to give 4 months notice (could be wrong on timeframe) and tenants can leave early without penalty because of it. I do believe
Apparently it can help build new neurological pathways. That's another reason drugs need to be legal. Let the stuff get researched.
If you want to learn about benefits of mushrooms listen to this:
Heard that one. Interesting guy
So they will be allowed to have bud on display?
Looks like a Davids Tea shop
Well, that's certainly better than I expected. I was wondering how they were going to deal with different strains.
Yeah, it's not bad. People will certainly be amazed at the variety available. Most people just think pot it pot.
At least you can see it. I'm sure it'll change when these become their own retail stores.
Except weed is cheaper
Actually looks pretty impressive
The Cannabis Act passed tonight
How bad was it ammended?
Not bad really. Provinces can choose to allow home growing is the major one.
That's a shitty one...
