It's good though. They now have an actual date and the senate has agreed to meet it by June 7th. That means it'll get done. They just want a few weeks buffer from when the law gets passed to when stores start selling. Seems reasonable enough.

    Here is BC's :shrug2:
    Retail Framework
British Columbians of legal age will be able to purchase non-medical cannabis through privately run retail stores or government-operated retail stores and online sales. The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) will operate the public retail stores, and Liquor Control and Licensing Branch (LCLB) will be responsible for licensing private stores and monitoring the retail sector. The operating rules governing public and private retail stores will be similar to those currently in place for liquor. In urban areas, licensed retailers will not be able to sell cannabis in the same stores as liquor or tobacco.

The Province recognizes retail access for people in rural areas will require a different approach than those used in urban communities and will establish exceptions for rural non-medical cannabis retail stores, similar to those of rural liquor stores.

This spring, the Province will launch an early registration process for individuals and businesses who are interested in applying for a cannabis retail licence. Information for potential applicants can be found in the B.C. Cannabis Retail Licensing Guide (PDF).

$10 a gram???? WTF? That's $280 an ounce. Hopefully it's cheaper if you buy in bulk. I used to pay that like years ago. $50 for a fiver (and that was bad, even back then).

Then, I started buying from my cousin for $190 an ounce ($6.78 a gram), but I was buying whatever he had (it was usually pretty good, mind you). At this point, the local dispensaries started selling without a medical certificate and I checked them out and their prices were mostly higher than what I was currently paying. I was as happy as a pig in shit getting weed for $6.75 a gram!!

Then, I discovered online suppliers. The BEST of the best weed online tops out at $280 an ounce - I don't think I've seen the price per ounce go any higher than $280.

....but, from what I have been getting online......I don't think I could handle "$280/ounce" weed. The stuff I am getting for $99-$150 an ounce is getting me as high as I can stand. I pretty much aim for a price of $3.50-$5 per gram ($5 being the very highest) for my weed. Buying for myself and my hookery friends, I can usually order enough to get free shipping too. The most I will pay for shipping is $15-20 if I have to order under the free shipping limit.....so, usually, I place an order for around $200-250 for TWO ounces ($3.50/$4.40 a gram).

For instance - I just ordered an ounce of Sweet Kush for $99 and an ounce of God Bud for $119 - with free shipping (works out to just under $4 a gram).

Here are the sites I use....

JJMeds (jjmeds.com) - $20 shipping or free over $250. They also have a points system where you earn credits when you buy. Also get a free sample gram per order.

This is the only place online I have found that takes credit cards for all orders. They often have $99/$135 ounces - currently OG Kush is $99. Platinum Purple Kush/Platinum OG Kush is $135 and Platinum Black Diamond is $150 - the "Platinum" series is amazing. They sometimes have a "buy 1 ounce and get second half price", but it is usually on the higher priced weed. Have yet to get a disappointing weed from them. Here is what I've smoked from that site....

    OG Kush (7.5/10)
    Platinum OG Kush (8.5/10)
    Platinum Black Diamond (8.5/10)
11-week Coma OG (1,000,000/10 - pure FIRE!!! Nothing I've ever smoked even comes close. Can't wait till they restock this stuff)
Black Water (9.9/10) - crazy shit
    11-week Blood Diamond (8.5/10)
    Purple Urkle (8/10)
11-week Blood Bubba (AAAA weed) (7.5/10) - "Bubba" weed and I don't mix for some reason
    Master Bubba (7/10) -"Bubba again"

BudExpress (www.budexpressnow.ca) - $15 or free over $149. Point system, but not as good as JJmeds. Also, 5 free pre-roll's when you sign up.

This place takes E-transfer. Very good overall prices and $99 ounce sales. Current is offering Super Skunk at $125/ounce. Blueberry Diesel and Nuken for $149. From this site I have had....

Nuken (8.5/10) - this is the stuff that smells like burnt marshmallow and is usually pricey. Best smelling weed I've smoked. One of my friends carried it around in her bag for a week (about a month ago) and we STILL smell it every time she gets in the car with said bag.
Chemo (8.5/10) - apparently designed by David Suzuki at UBC specifically for Cancer patients. This stuff puts you to SLEEP and I think I actually gained 4-5 lbs the two weeks we had it. Super munchies.

    BuyBudNow (www.buybudnow.ca) - $15 or free over $200 - no points system.

This place takes E-transfer - very good prices/selection. Has $99-119 ounces. God Bud/Chemo/King Kush/Purple Candy all at $119. Sweet Kush is $99. Stuff I've had.....

    MK Ultra (8/10)
Current order that JUST arrived in my mailbox (God Bud/Sweet Kush) - reviews to follow.

    West Coast 420 (www.westcoast420express.ca) - $25 or free over $400 (yikes)

E-transfer. I only order from here because the prices are very good for good weed. The $25 shipping is high, but it balances out. I've had...

King Kush (8.75/10) - surprisingly good. Unexpectedly good. Was only $99/ounce. Best weed I've had at the $99 price point.
    Chemo again
    Alien OG (8/10)
Gorilla Glue (9/10) - literally glues you to the couch. VERY sticky weed. Got it for $118/ounce - usually in the $250-280 range.

    Other sites I've tried....

GreenLeafExpress (www.greenleafexpress.ca) - $15 or free over $150. Currently has 20% off all orders with "FOR20" code. Good prices/sales
    BudgetBuds (www.budgetbuds.net) - $20 or over $150. Everything here is between $99-140/ounce.
Headz (www.headz.ca) - $15 or free over $100. HUGE selection. Most ounces are around $182, but they do have sales from time to time.
Canadian Mail Order (www.mailorder-marijuana.ca) - only site that doesn't include GST iin their prices. Lots of good deals. Pink Lady ($120), Purple Bubba Kush ($120), Grape God ($140).
GetCannabisOnline (www.getcannabisonline.ca) - $15 or free over $100. Super prices from time to time. Usually in the $110-160 range.
HerbApproach (www.herbapproach.com) - $15 or $150. This places sells the "Make your own ounce" for $200. You can pick 4 dif kinds to mix together (even AAAA weed).
Leaf2Go (www.leaf2go.ca) - $15 or $150. Can get good deals from time to time. JackFruit is currently $99/ounce.
Bud2Home (www.bud2home.com) - $15 or free over $200. HORRIBLE website, but they have "Bottom of the bag" ounces for $100 (AAAA nugs). The BOTB deal is almost always sold out. Different/interesting strains on this site.
GanjaExpress (ganjaexpress.ca) - $15 or free over $100. Biggest selection I've seen online. Prices are ok - sales from time to time.

DopeMail (www.dopemail.com) - $15 or $150. This place lets you use credit cards on certain orders. VERY, VERY good prices (lots of $99-130 ounces), but I would stay away from this site, as I have had no real luck finding weed that messes me up. I've had....

Rockstar, Girl Scout Cookies, Sour Cookies, Hindu Kush and "ChemFire" from there. Chemfire is Fire OG and Chemdog mixed (rare) and smells AWESOME - but, as with almost all the weed I've got from here, it just lacks the big punch. Not sure what the deal is with this site, but even their Shatter was lackluster.

Oh.....and if you feel experimental.....there is this site.....

FairCannaCare (www.faircannacare.com) - The "Walmart" of online weed. They take credit cards, offer free points for sign up ($20 credit it works out to) and have CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP weed (and $15 shatter). Not an AAAA weed to be seen on that site.

How cheap? How about $2 a gram/$50 an ounce cheap. Lol - yes, $50 an ounce!!

$2 ($50/ounce) weed is Chemdog, Sage and Sour and Sugar Kush (all B- grade weeds - probably outdoor grown)
$3 ($70/ounce) weed is Quantum Kush, Berry OG Kush and Hindu Kush (all B grade weeds)
$4 ($90/ounce) weed is Chocolope, Lemon OG and Skywalker OG (all B+ grade weeds) - half POUND sale is $575 vs $625
$5 ($110/ounce) weed is Banana Kush, Green Crack and Rockstar (all A grade weeds) - half POUND sale is $675 vs $750
$6 ($125/ounce) weed is Bubba OG, Girl Scout Cookies and Purple Kush (all A+ grade weeds) - half POUND is $700 vs $800
$7 ($150/ounce) weed is MK Ultra and SuperJack (AAA weeds) - half POUND is $800 vs $950

I suspect a lot of street-level dealers are using this site (note the large quantities they sell). A person could get the $2 weed and flip it for even $5 a gram and double thier money. Probably get no repeat business though. I had an order take a long time during a storm and had to go see "a guy" and it was old, shitty brown weed. The days of the street dealer are over - even my cousin is now selling ounces for $150 - but it is stuff he now grows in his house vs stuff he was buying....and it's not even comparable to what you can get online for $150.

Sorry for the long ass post, but I hope some of the info is useful. :)

    lol, I know right?

Although, I am single-handedly making the escort pool in Halifax smaller lol. The girl who used to live with me ended up going to NSCC (but it was a struggle - got called out in class by some chick and the pimps that hang around that school/actually sign up for courses is abundant). She eventually went to rehab in B.C. and is now a mentor to other addicted escorts and talks in front of large groups about her experiences. The second girl who was slowly moving in (and was going to goto school) got cold feet when her "bf" found out about me and started with the threats, etc. Most of her clothes and stuff are still at my place. She is trying to get away from him in a safe manner. Third girl I got off the drugs and talked to her Dad and she is now back at home in Cape Breton and is doing well and the current escort spends about 4-5 nights a week at my place and just started Cosmetology school on Tuesday (helping her get a Student Loan right now). I will be driving her/picking her up every day from school for the next year. These girls literally can't change their lives without a lil' help.

My place is turning into your place, but with escorts vs animals. lol

So, the two new weeds (I've never tried) are pretty, pretty good.

    1. "God Bud" - A mix of some mysterious strain called "God", Hawaiian and Purple Skunk. Mostly an Indica. Not much of a smell/taste to this stuff. Basically "earthy". NOT a daytime smoke. I like to buy weed that couch-locks me and helps me sleep when time comes. This stuff may be better than Chemo at that task - knocked me right out with a DEEP body stone. We started smoking it last night at 10:00, watched 3 episodes of Shark Tank and didn't move at all until 1:00. Never got up for a drink, bathroom break or even munchies....just sat there watching TV, totally locked to the couch. Loved it. Paid $119 for the ounce.

    2. "Sweet Kush"
    - A mix of Sweet Tooth and OG Kush. Hybrid for sure. This one smells and tastes AWESOME. Kinda Lemon Droppy......the smell in the room after you smoke it just plain glorious. The Sativa side hits you right behind the eyes a few tokes in.....a quick rush of euphoric energy...giggles galore.....then a nice body sedation sets in from the Indica component. Nice deep and long-lasting stone. More of a daytime smoke (at least compared to the God stuff). For $99/ounce, it is up there with King Kush as the best high for $99. Will order more of this again for sure.

Have some more Platinum OG Kush on the way from JJmeds. $135/ounce+20 shipping - but they have a 15% off sale on right now, so it's basically free shipping. $135 delivered for this stuff is a steal - VERY good weed - my third time ordering it. :)

Don't think I could ever order from any of those illegal dispensaries. God knows what pesticides you're sucking back.

All of the online places I order from are in B.C. and most are ACMPR Licensed Producers. They are legally allowed to sell "medical" weed, but have been relaxed on the need to provide a medical certificate once the new laws started coming in. They use reputable BC growers like Meddy Bear Farms, Platinum Farms, Canna Farms, etc. Some have been selling medical weed online for 7-10 years. The dispensaries around here get their weed from pretty much the same places I assume.

There have been two recalls of online weed for banned pesticides - but one grower was from Alberta and one was from Moncton. I would prefer to buy weed grown in B.C. - I mean, it is the hub of weed in Canada. Would be more leery of weed grown in Moncton for sure.

Just a curious question (and not trying to be facetious here) - where do you get your non-pesticide weed/weed that you know what pesticides were used? Like, is there a specific place? I know some online sites offer "organically-grown" weed, but I really have no clue what organically-grown weed is. My thoughts are to look for weed grown indoors vs outdoors (wouldn't buy outdoor grown stuff anyway) - that may cut down on pesticides? I dunno?

Legal places that are selling medical cannabis are about the only places you can be somewhat assured they aren't using harmful pesticides. If they are selling it to you without a prescription, it's not much different than getting it from joe blow street dealer :o

Want a surplus? Better smoke up!

    http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/nova-scotia-budget-2018-main-1.4583052

Nova Scotia tables balanced budget, with $29.4M surplus relying heavily on cannabis sales
Health care, education and community services net largest amount of spending

Premier Stephen McNeil's government is riding an anticipated wave of legal cannabis sales to its third straight balanced budget.

The document tabled by Finance Minister Karen Casey on Tuesday includes $10.81 billion in revenue, $10.78 billion in expenses and a projected surplus of $29.4 million.

A sizable portion of that surplus — $19.4 million — is related to taxes the government expects to receive from the sale of 12 million grams of recreational cannabis, if sales were to begin in July.

    https://atlantic.ctvnews.ca/n-s-inc...king-pot-tobacco-will-be-restricted-1.3860654

HALIFAX -- Nova Scotia is expanding restrictions on where people can smoke tobacco and cannabis ahead of the legalization of recreational pot use this summer.

Justice Minister Mark Furey issued a statement Tuesday saying the province will add five new areas to the Smoke-free Places Act where smoking of both products will be banned.

That includes the smoking or vaping of cannabis or tobacco on or near playgrounds, publicly owned sport and recreation sites, public trails, and provincial parks and beaches -- except within a rented campsite.

Furey said people will be able to smoke and vape cannabis in their own homes, on their private property, or in their apartment if it is permitted in the lease.

However, cannabis use will not be allowed in vehicles, under new legislation to be introduced during this legislative session.

If cannabis is being carried in a vehicle, it must be stored in a closed, fastened package and out of reach to the driver or passengers.

The Vegas strip has gone mad with weed. They have guys with bull horns shouting out the promos. "Free gram on your birthday!" Etc. It's crazy that the US can be so liberal on things and we in Canada get stuck in the dark ages.

We are going to have legalized cannabis nationwide here soon. In the USA pot is still federally illegal and they are locking up thousands of people a day for it. How do you figure they are ahead of us? One city doesn't represent the whole USA :o

In States where it has been legalized, they didn't put the government restrictions in place like they are going to be doing in Canada. It's similar to a lot of the liquor laws - it's so nice being able to pick up wine or beer at the grocery store with groceries when I want.

Let's be honest. The restrictions that are in place are not there for regulation, they are there because each province, some more so than others, are trying to take advantage of a situation they had no control over. They think that the underground market is going to dry up and people will pay whatever they ask. It's like buying imodium at the airport. You'll pay whatever is on the price tag given the alternative. At least they hope it is, which we all know it isn't.

It's going to be interesting to see how it unfolds. The government here is certainly not properly prepared. They just don't understand the market.

With the recent news from Nova Scotia I have still yet to hear the tech behind knowing is one is impaired or not relating to driving under influence. We all know that THC will stay in your system for days and days. Additionally, the lasting effects of pot leaves some questions no? I mean, how long after smoking would one be "allowed" to operate a vehicle?

watching the CTV news tonight, they were showing inside of the Joe Howe NSLC and the renovations. They are putting it down in the very back left hand corner of the store by the beer cooler. They mentioned that you will not be able to see through from one section to the other either by walls, a door or frosted glass. I think many people will have an issue to do the walk of shame completely through the store to the back corner to get their Devil's lettuce. I really hope they are planning a separate outside entrance into that section. Can't see many people of certain occupations wanting to walk the length of the liquor store to go in to a secret room that is completely on display to the entire store to buy their pot

Honestly, there's going to be a LOT of people cruising past the alcohol to get to the pot  I think it'll be pretty reasonable to expect a drop in alcohol sales. Think about how quickly it's going to go from taboo to normal :eek3:
