Take it back and get the google. trust me
If it doesn’t work well I’ll get something else.
i have zero google products so is probably just not get a video doorbell at all if the ring is junk
the motion detection will be nice and I’m going to angle it down my driveway
But the motion detection takes for ever. The robbers are at the pawn shop selling your shit by the time it notifies your phone.
@the mental pic of seeing my shit on kijiji before i get a motion detection notice
I’ll update this in a few months to see how it worked out
It's quite nice when you get a knock on the door, check your camera, see a solicitor and just carry on with your day lol
Good point, but I don't like reading from my phone (too small; old eyes), especially in bed. I wanted something good on batteries and easy on the eyes that I could also read in full sun (ex: at the beach). I find that when traveling (remember those days?) battery life on the phone is poor due to using it for the in-flight entertainment, as an example.
Your dog will still lose its shit when you answer the door.
My first ring had a lot of issues. Then I got a Ring pro. Almost all was good except when the bell rang I couldn't open the app. Turns out the transformer was underpowered. I got a bigger one and it now works great. Would still like to change to the Google one though.
Really? No one is going to comment on "no more vacuuming lawn"?????
Soft shoulder + snowplow = vacuum the lawn.
doesnt bother her. doorbells IRL and on TV wind her up something crazy
Rake does fuck all. Power broom is by far the best way.

Those quick connects are awesome
I need to splurge and buy a flexible hose for my pressure washer. I despise the one it came with
I bought a couple Grohmann knives, and am very pleased with the quality.
So quick question on this...are you using iPhone or Android?
Wife uses iphone and i use a andriod. Both have thw same issue with the ring
How are you still married?
I just noticed after switching to iPhone the ring alerts are instant but the motion alerts don't happen until I turn on the phone.
Funny thing is today i just ordered the iphone 12 pro max. I cant believe i am switching to iphone.
I'm just as shocked and uncomfortable about it. I chose to get an 11pro just to play with. Rumor has it they are being back a fingerprint reader next year and I hate fave unlock. I'm one week into my month long committment. Still undecided. I've had an iPhone for work for the past 5 years but I've never used it for anything other than phone, text and email. Lots of things I miss with android, tons actually but the few things that iPhone has given me are valuable as well.

Be a cold day in hell when I switch to an iPhone
I removed my doorbell all together and took the front steps off the house. We just use a side entrance and the extremely rare solicitor just gets confused and leaves
Even worse, we had our house resided 5 yrs ago and I still have the wires poking out for the bell lol.
No doorbell club. Actually, from what I’ve seen, most houses around here don’t have a doorbell unless it’s one of the Nest/Ring ones.
It's allowed me to carry one phone instead of two on evenings and weekends. With the ability to get calls and texts to my work phone mirrored on my personal phone, Still missing the Google though
this is where i was, and i went with a security cam for the front stoop that lets me transmit audio when my phone tells me someones there.
