These things keep getting more and more advanced. I'm on the fence with them - we had "state of the art" for our kids at the time (Angel Care, I think was the brand) but I find most parents end up turning most of it off because you're constantly watching it and don't sleep. Good luck, Wayne! When is baby due?
$18 for another Echo Dot during Prime Day seemed like a good option for the one remaining room in the house where we can't yet make Alexa do our bidding.
The wife and I got a new cabin. 35 mins from the house. Small lake in front for skating and large lake in back for boating Has a kids bunk house on the small lake and a detached garage.
Nice! Let's be clear, though, Gooch - this is Nfld so most like skating on both lakes more than anything else. My cottage/cabin is a 55hour drive - still haven't seen it yet!
Home plow for the daily driver truck, as I had to say goodbye to my “plow truck”. Also bought another set of LED low beams Prepping for winter sucks
i scrolled from the bottom up and was like "oh cool, a tiny house style cabin, neat" and then i scrolled further up and experienced crippling jealousy
That's a beautiful spot, but I think your definition of cabin is a little skewed sir. A cabin is a small shelter in the woods. Far more rustic than what you are showcasing, quite commonly made of logs, with bunk beds and no power. That is a second house. And a nice one at that. It is really nice and I'm quite jealous. What the hell do you do for a living?
We love our house but always wanted to be on a lake. This gives us the best of both worlds. It just all sort of feel in place.
This is 100% exactly what I expect to see when I hear "cabin" from a newfoundland. You're describing a camp.
Cabin, camp, cottage - I’ve come to realize that they’re regional terms. I would use cottage to describe Gooch’s new setup personally but it depends on where you’re from. I call the place I now own (and still have never seen) our cottage but it was someone’s primary residence for almost 60 years.
Yeah everything here is cabin. Same thing with lakes. No body here knows what a lake is. Every body of water is a pond. To me a pond is a tiny swamp
nice!! If you own a boat, living on a lake makes it 10000000% better. Will you even bother taking it anywhere else now?
The boat will live at the cabin. I may take it home from time to time to explore the Conception Bay. Being able to explore places like this is always fun. The main boat launch in St. Phillips is just down from our house View attachment 24445
I had to google mt carmel haha yeah just up the road! We wanted something no more than 40 mins door to door.
