Ordered a truck in early January, it showed up this week.... No racing or camping on the horizon, so I don't really need it right now. I have a decent deposit on it so the dealer is ok with sitting on it for a few weeks so I can get a better idea of the impact on my business. Shitty timing though
Got my fishing license and black bear tag for 2020. Now I'm praying they don't close down the outdoors on us. Also tried 99 beer yesterday night. Surprisingly awesome beer! Possibly my new favourite next to Harp.
Sorry for the sideways photo... Wasn't sure how to get it upright... It's not sideways on my phone....
i started baking a lot of sourdough this year. Since this covid thing started, i've been baking daily for neighbours and familiy
I started/tuned mine up Sunday...gonna take some social distancing frustration out on my overgrowth this weekend!
Yeah, I've got a few old/dead trees out back that need to come down, and then I've got a bit of firewood for next winter that I'll need to chunk up. Plus, new toy.
A gallon of dog shampoo. What I'm hoping to not have to buy: Clippers to groom her. She's a doodle, needs regular grooming. Luckily, she was groomed right before this shit show started - I am perfectly fine and happy paying for her to be groomed instead of doing it myself!
Yep, $40 plus tip for my groomer to do wash, clip, and brush her is well worth it lol. She's starting to look scruffy...
Speaking of scruffy, I’ve needed a haircut since this all went down. I don’t even know what to do with it right now
My wife watched some youtube tutorials and gave me a cut. It's not perfect but not horrible either and I feel so much better.
yeah nothing sounds more bro and alpha male as dudes saying the wife haha people growing isolation beards also is driving me nuts. They recommend for hygene purposes that you stay clean shaven.
I started with a little one like that it's a good one just watch the edges. This is what I have now, still can't can't catch that damn roadrunner 100lb
Brahhhs. Like don't hate me ... Cause I'm more alpha than you. That's so totally Millenial. What's next? You hate me cause I drive a big diesel truck that I actually use, and cause I have bigger biceps than you and work in an alpha job where I like totally need to use not just my brain... But my muscles and hands to do things other than type???? Way not cool brah, way not cool. Now little dudes.... If you'll excuse me... The wife has some cold beers in the fridge that like, totally take a real man to drink. It's okay though little brahs, I wouldn't expect you to understand. Being beta males and all.
Well this went down hill lol...I've called my wife, the wife, for longer than she's been my wife...and it's certainly not for some alpha male reason. Sorry I found a trigger button for you guys, your peeve was registered and immediately discarded...back to purchases. I got some waist belt thingy that's like a 2020 version of a fanny pack...needed to hold my yeti while I walked the dog.
I've been calling my wife the wife for quite some time as well. Never considered it an alpha thing either. I'm with you Wayne. Hence my post. For me it was a 15 pack of beer and a quart of 99 Whisky. And a tank of fuel.
Personal purchases yesterday: $107 prescription $25 milk/juice/ibuprofen $50 two dozen trout flies Business purchases yesterday: $130 worth of boxes from Home Depot $2200 worth of inventory from manufacturer (delivered to house) $1500 worth of inventory from retail (contactless pickup) Going to be a busy work weekend...
It inspired me to upgrade the "patch" That anvil is awesome. I only really use mine for leatherwork, so even the one I have is overkill, but it was inexpensive and more than serves its purpose.
Nothing makes you feel more like a highschooler than still calling her your girlfriend after 21 years together lol.
thats never going to happen im going to let chaos reign and grow it out. also my beard, its by far the longest i've ever had it....which isnt much
"The Wife" is a pet peeve and I've noticed it's a Maritime thing - I don't hear anyone here in Seattle saying it anyway. Sort of like "". I went the opposite with my beard - it's completely gone as of two nights ago. I had already trimmed it down as it was getting long enough that I found myself constantly with my fingers in it - it was too sexy. I also shaved it as I find shaving to be good meditation if done properly - good thing to be doing these days!
I see now why you had to vacate the Maritimes. Boy oh boy every day around those blue noser's must have been agony, not being able to be around Cape Bretoners, Newfies, Nova Scotian folk or even most NB'ers when any of them speak it must just make you grind your gears! Oh, and that's right I don't lot Cape Bretoners in with Nova Scotians. Deal with it. On a serious note with "The Wife"; I don't think it's limited to the maritimes. I think it's a Canadian thing. I moved to Alberta a few years back and it's here and in BC.
I think we left the Maritimes for the same reasons - better job opportunity. Maybe for me, Pet Peeve == minor nuisance and for you, Pet Peeve == angry rage shit but I was just pointing it out, not making it a thing.
