I didn't buy it, but wife got us a PS4. Came with COD which I have no interest in, been playing the shit out of nhl 19 though
I'm setting up a home office, and picked up a great desk for $80, and a 5.1 system for $100. Best Facebook marketplace experience evar.
I picked up the Orbi 2 pack. I was looking at the google one but went with the Orbi because its a Triband. I was nervous about the coverage but I get almost full signal in a 3600 square foot split entry and even outside on a 1.5 acre lot. One thing I have noticed is at about the same time as installing it and a ring doorbell, my phone battery life dropped dramatically. I've never really seen my phone go below 50% but now its at 30% within 6 hrs. I'm wondering if it has to do with the phone switching from router to router and trying to get the strongest signal as I walk around the house. Be interested to find out if you see the same thing or not.
I wish Google sold a 2 pack. I really only need two. Heck one does pretty good, but its only a single band. I don't feel like spending a ton to upgrade either.
Three nights, a lift pass, and a LOT of beer at Panorama for New Years. Then gas/lunch on the way home today.
A PS4 and a Switch. Then I realized my TV was too ancient to play on (cropped the game) and I had to buy a new one. Then I got that home and realized the TV was about an inch or two too big for my TV stand and had to drag myself to IKEA on the day after boxingday which was terrifying to say the least.
I got a Sous vide cooker for Christmas, and decided to pick up an Instant Pot Duo Plus 6 qt. I tried the Walmart boneless, skinless frozen chicken breasts in the sous vide and wasn't super pleased with the outcome. I'll try with some "real" breasts in the future - it's steak I'm mostly interested in. I'm thinking I'm going to end up using the Instant Pot more though....
automatic door closer for the side door by the driveway that catches mad wind everytime i open it. not on my watch...
Had the setup since the weekend, so far I like it. Nice to get some consistent connections throughout the house. Although I have mixed feelings on how both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz frequencies are under the same SSID. Nice for the ease, but sometimes my phone or laptop would be connected to 2.4 ghz band when I am in the room directly above where one of the access points are. Had to set some devices to prefer 5ghz. I like the app for setup and monitoring the network, there is no web based access which would be nice to have, and I would like to see some more additional advanced settings available eventually. I had some difficulty setting up the DMZ on my Bell home hub 3000 so that it would pass on the WAN IP to the google wifi instead of a LAN IP. But that corrected itself on its own last night. Haven't noticed a difference in battery yet, but i think it is still too soon to tell. Still working on placing the access points in the most efficient spots to spread the signal. I have them all wired for best performance so they are currently sitting in places where I had ethernet connections and will need to run additional cat5 for optimal spots.
thats the one thing I've heard about these new mesh networks using a single ssid. Some things only play well with one freq and no way to get them to prefer one or the other.
Good to know as i will likely have to do this when we get in to our new place, i did a walk through and i know there will be some dead zones, but i have cat6 ran to those locations.

I'm honestly not sure. The storm door is beat pretty badly too. She was there for 21 years. Shutters brand new are like over $100.. lol So I'm just getting Greg to remove them for now.
yeah that's a common response. My wife and I are big believers in the power of attraction and Abraham Hicks is very well known in that circle. Remember the movie "the secret"? that was part of her teachings.
My parents got some nice shutters from wayfair I think when they did an exterior Reno last summer It was some site like that.
