I didn't have any issues, neither has my co-worker ordering from the same sources.

However, I could have purchased an automatic knife (or all sorts of other things that are illegal here) from the same Chinese source if I wanted. I honestly don't want to get on any list, so I didn't even consider it.

With the law changes in New York, I will *not* take any knife that could possibly be classified as a gravity knife when I cross the border (I have three camping trips upstate New York this summer, for example). The large knife in my picture above would fall under this category as you can flick it open with one hand. I don't need any border issues in my life.

As far as I know it's just the speed assisted knives, I've been getting away from them lately, although they are still available from many Canadian retailers and I recently had a Kershaw Chive w/ Damascus blade shipped in for the wife from Amazon.com.

    Nice little knife.

Thanks champ. In this morning, out again Saturday afternoon, so probably not this go round. I’ll be back in either September or December and we’ll line it up.

Sorry to hear that, dpwu32dpwu32 .

Most of our travel back to NS, since we moved, has been funeral related - hardest thing about moving away.

Finding out my old man was about to pass away and I was 3000KM away was the worst feeling in my life, I’ll never do that again.

I have one just like it I bought new last year. The steel is thin (bends and dents easy) but it works pretty well. I've hauled many yards of top soil and mulch with it.

My brother borrowed his neighbors trailer like that to do a job. While my brother wasn't there, the homeowner tore out some walls and fired the two by fours from the 2nd storey of the house to the trailer.... ended up punching a bunch of holes in it :eek3:
