Browsing a local jeep forum I noticed someone talking about a conversion kit they're installing on their Rubicon from American Expedition Vehicles called the "Brute" for the wranglers.

$8995 US for the conversion kit, can't decide if I like it or not, just thought the jeep lovers on here might find it interesting. :)

Meh, I like my cousins Rubicon as it is now - with a 4.5" lift and 35's.

I'd rather have the extra two/three seats and convertible top (if that isn't one).

Once you finish the suspension with a decent lift and rims/tires, you would have sunk about $45-50k into a Rubicon.

2 seats in the rear of the wranglers (the old ones at least).

New, or buy a used '03 rubicon for $13k, or a regular wrangler for $10k.

Still. Who would want to pump $30k into a 6 year old jeep?

The cab is to small and for the cost I could have a nice 3/4 ton crew cab diesel

Depends what you want to do with it I guess. I just thought it was a cool conversion.

love it too, but I would buy an old comanche and modify it and still have enough cash left over to buy pizza

Gross? No, but I guess that could be relative.

    Gay? Um, yes. And?

This would not be on my list of jeep mods, but kinda cool. I would rather get a regular LJ and get half cab soft top for 1/8th the price.
