    These are all from /r/showerthoughts on reddit. Some of the shit people post in there is dumb as fuck. Some of it is pure genius.

    They only had one class a day. I didn't get in. :tongue3: Two friends let me go in and screw around with them during lunch hour.

    I learned more during lunch period that year that affected my life, than all my courses in High School combined. The teacher who volunteered his lunches that year was never my official teacher, but was the best I ever had.

    Probably why I respect self learning more in the computer world than formal education. The best programmers I know are self taught geeks.

    The best one I know is self-taught, but it's been a mix for me. Bottom line is formal education doesn't always make the best programmers.
