Whoa, thought this place would be fine by now. Anyhow, just been building cool shit, old bikes and motorcycles, kayaking, hiking, that sort of thing. Cool story, right?

That's not the kind of Land Rover I'd take far off a dirt road. Let alone "in the woods".

Actually it's not (the joke). I have owned a Land Rover. (Discovery 2) They definitely hold their own. Wasn't trying to shit on your vehicle. I love them. But nobody is ever going to get one far on an unestablished trail. Or "in the woods". There are things like ATV's and modified Jeeps etc for a reason. That's way too big, heavy and not high enough or sitting on proper tires to go do any "serious" off roading. And, not to forget to mention but I'd be scared to hurt it by taking it through the bush. I would buy one for a daily driver that's good on dirt roads or mild trails and winter driving in a heartbeat. To use as an off-road vehicle and trek through the bush? Not a chance. Get me a LR Defender and we will have a different discussion.

#1, I literally own one, and live in the woods, and you’re telling me it’s not good for it?
#2, I also have a Jeep, and a Mercedes and I’m buying a new defender 110 in the spring.
#3, I’ve taken my LR4 into the woods on unestablished trails, just fine.
#4, I beat the shit out of my LR4, I use it as a pick up truck to haul my firewood from the tree areas I’m clearing, across the creek bed, up a large hill to behind my house.

Good for you! But your comprehension skills suck. Read what I wrote. Never said you Rover sucks.

You literally said it can’t do any “serious off-roading”. Yet, there I am pushing through woods and crossing my stream beds with it just fine. Not to mention there are literally tens of people you can follow on Instagram with LR4’s crossing Africa in them, and crossing the “Bush”, not driving on highways.

Your definition of "serious" offroading and mine are clearly different.
Did not intend to offend you. I still love Discoveries and maintain they hold their own. Keep up the good work champ!
