I just had a thought... I haven't put my bike in storage yet. It's sitting in my driveway. Do you think it will be safe if I leave it outside during the storm, or should I try and find a garage to stick it in for the next couple of days? I don't know how many km/h winds it would take to tip over a bike.

I think it'll be okay. It won't be a hurricane by any means.

I would put in inside or atleast store it outside in a sheltered spot. Fuck, it won't take much more than 70 kms to put it over in my opinion. Be safe rather than sorry.

Take the cover off it if you are going to leave it outside. Well its your choice. Have it act as a sail and tip the bike over for sure, but maybe protect it from damage, or take it off so the wind hopefully blows through but maybe it tips it over, but iti will definitely be damaged.

meaning under an eve or next to a building. Trees aren't your best shelter in a windstorm :)

well its kind of late for an answer but I know this from experience.. cover = BIG NO!!

If you cant get it inside, put it right up to a building (building on the right side) as close as you can and park it in gear, on the kickstand... so if it falls it will just lean on the building or on the kickstand so in other words it wont fall... and it wont go forward or back either cause its in gear.

Mine is in the basement now but both the 250 and 400 were outside with a cover over them when Hurricane Juan came. I was nervous as hell but they were still standing... then again I don't think it was as bad in Sackville as other places.
