Fill me in.
Ace Burger Co inside of Gus' Pub. Try the deluxe! Sooooo good.
Have you had the "Canadian Burger Eh!" from Montanas ?
Looking for a place that specializes in burgers. I heard Flip Burger is good as well.
Flip Burger is decent, but not great. The quality of the food at Ace Burger is top notch. It's in a weird location, but totally works. You definitely need to try it out if you're looking for the best burger in town. The Works burer joint is coming to town in the new year as well. I've eaten there in Ottawa a few times and enjoyed it.
go to cheachies up by the canadiana in bayers lake.
I could go for five guys right now.
I found flip burger a little too dry for my taste. I enjoyed Cheese Curds more
brown chicken brown cow
I know you want a place that specializes in burgers and I can't help with that other than to give Ace a +1.
I can tell you The Coastal's 'Fear Burger' kicks ass though.
I'm not sure if they're changing up the menu in the new year, but you might wanna get this one sooner than later.
Lots of suggestions. Thanks
You're not going to get more a more grass roots, ground up heart attack, double stacked coronary than Cheachie's Big Earl Burger.
I'll be surprised if I find anything around here that is on the level of Five Guys. They have perfected the burger and fries experience.
Relish burger is good too.
I won't go back. It was a mix of awkward, uncomfortable, annoying and disappointing.
make it a barnyard with a motherclucker tossed on top of it and you're all set.
however prefer to get the oinker with clucker stacked on it.
i think cheachies is closed sundays. i remember trying to go and read that online
i really like flip burger. reasonable prices too
The food was decent but it was small. The size of the burger patty was about what you'd get on a McDonalds burger. Way to small. Burger, sweet potato fries and a drink was $20, not including tip. We left hungry.
The atmosphere was unbearable. The staff only yelled. As soon as you walk through the door you're overwhelmed with yelling. Staff screams "Welcome to Relish" to everyone upon entry. The staff yelling gets all the patrons yelling, and, I didn't really like that. I doesn't stop.
You order and pay up front and then sit and wait, which I really don't mind. Since it was busy, we waited forever. They scream your name when your order is ready. You walk up and pick it up, if you can hear them screaming your name over all the noise. No table service. I expect to wait, an hour was a little much.
They called my name, I went right up and collected my food. As I sat back down, I heard my name called again, and again, and again. This went on for a couple of minutes until they realized they'd been calling the wrong name. So while I ate, someone kept screaming my name in the distance. Which was weird. Whoever the plate did belong to got a cold meal.
Oh, and they yell at everyone leaving too. "Thank You," "Good-bye"
I think that about covers it.
first time visiting cheese curds, i found the little guy at the counter way too pushy with his upselling and joke telling. Kind of annoying.
Your loss its a great burger.
I like the Great North Burger at Brewdebakers
Flip Burger was good but doesn't hold a candle to Five Guys. Ace is next on the list ... Maybe next week.
That is good - you should try the Canadian Burger at Montanas - I liked it better.
Ill give it a go next time im there.
My favourite burger in Halifax is at the Henry House.
Best burger I've had in Halifax so far has been at Your Fathers Moustache
Everything I have ever eaten there has been great - they definitely do a great job.
Flip Burger>Cheese Curds
I work with a gut who says the same thing....he says Five guys is the best hands down...
A burger spot I really like around here is Willy's.....its located at pizza corner.
I've never been to Five Guys, sounds like I should check it out!
I didnt like flip burger at all. Cheese curds was decent. this whole Burger fad in halifax is gonna hurt some small buisness owners, its a shame people cant find their own idea.
Five guys is awesome.
Do you have the works there yet? it's good but more specialty burgers.
Five guys is amazing - service/speed/price/satisfaction. I first tried it in Orlando and I always go when I am in Ottawa or Kingston.
The works is great for a sit down spot, but I have found their food quality has gone downhill since franchising. I will be interested to see what happens when they open in Halifax.
Relish is delicious but way too expensive for what you are getting. I cannot financially justify going back when there are so many other options.
Ace is beautiful and right around the corner form me. I love picking up takeout on the way home from there.
Haven't tried flip or cheese curds yet. Might have to give them a go soon.
As far as burgers at restos go there are a few amazing ones out there: brooklyn warehouse, coastal, mustache, rock bottom and foggy goggle (which is my favorite of them all) to name a few.
I personally would prefer a Harveys type of burger patty and always have.
