...the rush/sound/feel/etc of the turbocharger in my STi. I'm not really wanting to turbo my 330i, but, I think I need to do something. Recommend solutions? Nothing stratospheric... I keep thinking I want a convertible to augment the stable, maybe a white S2000... so I could potentially turbo that...
Shoulda bought a 335i... I didn't honestly find STi's that strong, did not feel a whole lot more than my M3, makes a big whoosh of torque, but it sure felt like it went way flat as you went up the tach. Maybe easiest solution is a rear diff swap in your 330? Unless of course you want to leave the 330 alone completely?
get a crotch rocket I miss the turbo power from my gti, next project will be an n/a screamer though....get an old project like an ef civic with ctr powerplant on throttlebodies...get something older that u can frigg around with a lot and get creative my .02
I took Josh's (Relentless) STi for a rip yesterday. What a fun car. Pulls real hard. I'd love to pick one up in a year or two.
I know where you can get a fully decked out Dinan 335 coupe, 400+ hp, 460 ft/lbs. Arctic White with black interior. In mint condition, with low mileage. The car's located in the San Jose CA area. If you're interested, I'll drum up some more info and pass it along. It belongs to a good friend of mine.
Oh yeah, here's a video of it http://www.webridestv.com/videos/bmw-shoot-out---dinan-335i-vs--stock-m3-79736
Ehh, I know... I know. I'm thinking 135i. I like the smaller cars. And no crotch rocket, I'm not allowed. Already tried...
It's a great little car, for sure. I tried for the motorcycle again last night. It went something like this: "I'm thinking about getting a bike." "you have one." (specialized mt. bike) "No, I mean a motorcycle." "That will be the death of you." "I can be careful..." "That won't keep me from killing you." So, any news/rumors on a 135tii?
Or...get the 335 posted...I fly to CA and drive back with you to Texas...I mooch off you for a week then go home.
Yes, way past the ricer stages... something about BMWs and Porsches. I'd love a Cayman S for a toy, but I don't think that would satisfy my turbo-needs. You can come bum around anyway, man!
Our goalie has a 335 coupe and has started doing the upgrades it is a pretty fast car, the 335i in that video has about $15k of add ons.
There is nothing that says cool like a man in his late 20's/30's driving an 89 civic with a fart pipe. There comes a time where one has to grow up and drive a car that suits their age and lifestyle.
Why do you have to ask permission for a bike? Just go and buy one and tell her you can not return it. She will have learn to live with it.
If I saw that car buzzing down the road I would assume the driver was either a) in highschool b) mentaly incompetant.
My smileys werent making fun of you Pat, I was surprised he didnt know your orientation, as most of us do.
