A ticket has been issued in relation to last Friday’s collision in Dartmouth’s north-end which resulted in three pedestrians being taken to hospital.

Just before 2:30 p.m., a woman was crossing Victoria Road at Primrose Street with two small children when they were struck by a minivan that was turning left onto Victoria from Primrose. A four-year-old girl suffered significant injuries to her lower body as a result of the collision and was transported to the IWK Hospital along with a boy, also four, whose injuries were less severe. The woman, 33, was also treated in hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Today, the van’s driver, a 47-year-old Dartmouth man, was issued a ticket, charged under the Motor Vehicle Act with failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
