Hey Everyone! HPS is at it again... During the evening March 6th, 2009, we will be hosting a 2 hour seminar and discussion on the business side of wedding photography - which for a large part really applies to any photography business. Our own David Grandy (Website is here) will be presenting several business cases and discussing things like billing and receivables for your small business. David was a photojournalist with the Halifax Herald for many years and is a successful wedding and commercial photographer with a style all his own. The seminar will take place at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia lecture hall (Bedford Row Entrance) starting at 7pm and running until 9pm on Friday March 6th. Cost of the seminar is $10 for HPS members and $15 for non members. If wedding photography is your passion and you want to learn more about the business end of your camera or if you've never shot a wedding and just want to see what's involved outside of the actual shooting, don't be shy... Everyone is welcome! For more information, please contact either myself or chasm via PM here in IE.
Thanks - but I'm in Vancouver at the moment playing Gramma to my new granddaughter and won't be back in time. Appreciate the offer of a couch, though.
I'll be there with bells on - I'm trying to drag out my wife since some of the business tips would probably apply to her as well but so far no luck LOL
Hatman - any update as to the weather? will this still be a go or will there be a snow date? i know a few things are being cancelled due to the streets which are starting to get a bit slippy, but not to bad.
They're a bunch of wusses! According to the weather network and News 95.7, they are calling for this to change to rain any minute, so we are good to go. Make sure you say "Hi!"
Mike & everyone else at HPS - thanks for another most informative evening! Pat (aka Mr. Hunt) One of HPS' newest members
