how long does it take to lower a car aprox? my buddy and i are lowering his car this weekend so just curious how long it will take.
depends on the car and your tools you can do it in 1.5 hours if you're fast, and have 2 people. at the most, 4 hours
oh and dont fuck around with your suspension, put all the bolts back on in the right order and torque them to the factory specs
it all depends on if you have one of those kit do-hickeys to put all together with the suspension and how fast you work, how much working you do (beer breaks are in there probly) etc... just remember, you might want to try a little at a time, a friend of mine did it to his, and now it drives like a dump truck and doesnt look much lower than it was.
Usually 3-4 hours would be about average for a 4 corner spring swap install if your putting the spring back on the shocks that are now on the car. Definately get your hands on a spring compressor or you'll be eaiting a spring in face. Also depends if you know what your doing and if u have power tools or hand tools.
that is the most important - to make sure you torque shit back to the factory specs - if you just crank shit til its tight you will end up with a shitty ride - compressing bushings and shit everyone makes that mistake too - including moi!
i have lowered many hondas.. so experience i have and buy myself your looking at 4 hours complete. that's if you don't run into problems.. and most times you do.. accordian, boots, que, can all vouch for that.
well it is done man it took 6 hours lol the first time we did it we did it wrong and didn't know till it was done and had to do it all over again, but i must say was quite fun.
2002 honda civic not sure if you know him he is on the "other site" we actually raised his car, he lowered it but used stock struts and of course they went so we had to raise it back up. his name is chris.
Joe knows his shit, I vouch for it, he did my Civic, and my Teg.. And also, shit happens, bolts break.. What can ya do..
