Hotmail Virus???

    I recieved the email in my hotmail inbox:

    Re: Approved

    from many people today, people on my MSN contact list and some that aren't. The attachment is permamently blocked by hotmail (thank god).

    Anyone else see this? Anyone know what the hell it is???

    I've recieved them... not sure what the virus/hoax is but if i'll look into it next time i get one and see if i can give ya some info.

    i got it too....i haven't looked into it, but its probably the new virus symantec is warning about.

    It is the new virus....My work got hit with approx 2000 emails containing this virus, yesterday alone.

    Due to an increased rate of submissions, Symantec Security Response has upgraded W32.Netsky.D@mm from a Category 3 to a Category 4 as of March 1, 2004.

    W32.Netsky.D@mm is a mass-mailing worm that is a variant of W32.Netsky.C@mm. The worm scans drives C through Z for email addresses and sends itself to those that are found.

    The Subject, Body, and Attachment names vary. The attachment will have a .pif file extension.
