It's beyond horrible, it's disgusting. The laws need to change.

Apparently people on welfare can do whatever they want because they can't afford fines?

Yes apparently that's correct... check out this dog I rescued a few years ago, chained out front of a lovely trailer in Mt Uniacke area... I'll never forget the cunt owners name. This girl is a husky shepherd mix and weighed 28 lbs! Proper weight and still thin was 61 lbs. She was so dehydrated that the skin on the back of her neck if you pulled it up would stand and stick together for over 30 seconds.

Keisha, now Kelly, was chained in the front of this yard for everyone to see. No one complained. She had a 4 foot piece of chain attached to a dog house. Lovely.

So we head to court to charge this "woman". She gets $125 fine. She also had a similar mix chained in the back yard that the SPCA also took, and a couple cats. But they left the Dalmatian there because he was in the house and appeared to be well cared for. :(

The lawyer for the SPCA said that charge was fine for her since she was embarrassed in her community and the place she worked, called "Whiskers" she couldn't have people giving her a hard time over this.

This is a major sore spot for me. I feel that better lawyers maybe are needed as well as better laws?? /rant

awww Bitch. I should take some pictures of my Fiances brothers rescued Husky. The thing was a malnourished, skittish creature when he took it home and a year later it is healthy and thriving...possibly one of the most well mannered pooches I know...next to our Dixie of course

My SO's parents just adopted a dog from a rescue agency. I can't wait to see him.
