im assuming you mean "limewire". You might need to forward the port on your router if its not connecting. Are you connected to a router? If so, does limewire work if you plug internet directly into your computer?

This is a work laptop

I'm going to DL a bunch of tunes (hopefully) then delete it.

And for my connection, there is a blue cord coming in the wall of my trailor. That is how I am connected. haha

blue wire coming into your trailer doesn't likely lead to a router...so sounds like a direct connection. if it doesn't work from a direct connection, the port is likely blocked by your work/ISP. You could try setting a different port...see if that works.

I am like 65kms from pavement/4 hours from my office. I don't think work could be doing it.

Plus the computer had itunes/porn on it when I opened it

I have the same problem from my home computer with a direct connection... when I DL'd a newer version it hasn't connected since. Loads and starts fine but it stays "connecting" for hours.

the blue wire needs to be connected to something on the other end that gets you to the internet...where does it run outside of the trailer?

Okay, clearly I'm an idiot somehow. Frostwire won't connect either.

    Fuck it.

Torrents work better than P2P anyway. you should use a program like BitTorrent, and download torrents...alot less risk of viruses...and i find alot better quality downloads, over P2P downloads.
