How does one go about getting a new ticket. Got the ticket in Setp or Nov of 2010, but lost it, is there somewhere to call about gettting a new one?

A poisonous gas encountered in many industries, including oil and gas, so all of us who work in the oil field are req'd to recert an H2S awareness ticket every 3 years.

Gayest course ever! Last one I sat thru in November was 8 hrs of hell to get a 100% on a test that took about 10 minutes to write. And that was checking it over twice.

It was stupidly boring but it is good to know what it smells like so you make sure you`re close to a scba.

If you smell rotten eggs run down wind and lay in a low lying area. If the smell goes away your good to go!

 Something about that seems wrong... Oh well, I probably just drank too much and had too many pickled eggs. I'll just lay in this low lying area and take a nap...

just remember when your throat starts to hurt and your throwing up it's just from the vodka and pickled eggs.

hydrogen sulfate . gas stays low due to it being heavier than air and it dont take much to kill you 100ppm and you are fucked instantly.

    Sorry I was wrong

0.00047 ppm is the recognition threshold, the concentration at which 50% of humans can detect the characteristic odor of hydrogen sulfide,[14] normally described as resembling "a rotten egg".
Less than 10 ppm has an exposure limit of 8 hours per day.
10–20 ppm is the borderline concentration for eye irritation.
50–100 ppm leads to eye damage.
At 100–150 ppm the olfactory nerve is paralyzed after a few inhalations, and the sense of smell disappears, often together with awareness of danger.[15][16]
320–530 ppm leads to pulmonary edema with the possibility of death.
530–1000 ppm causes strong stimulation of the central nervous system and rapid breathing, leading to loss of breathing.
800 ppm is the lethal concentration for 50% of humans for 5 minutes exposure (LC50).
