sweeet.....j-spec??? or amer. verision??
I wonder how hard it was for him to import this baby
It only takes money to get what you want in this world.
All bow down to the Nissan god's!
what a 120,000$ US won't get ya now a days!
I want one too!
I know you fixed it below...but wtf were you thinking....???LMAO......
Whoever pays 120K USD for a Nissan Skyline has one hell of a clouded vision. Nice cars and all, but the prices people are paying for them make me laugh. 120K USD can buy you one hell of a Ferrari you know.
Or a very well fitted Supra... that connect up to about 1000hp... with torque to match
These things are a dime a dozen in Japan, sooo many over there in the summer. I was surprised to see 4 door Skyline sedans.
I beleive I read he ended up paying in the range of $53,000 AMD for that.
sorry... American Dollars.... *shrug*
53,000 US for an R34?
I'm not sayin' its not possible but I know that MotoRex sell them for a lot more then that....
but if he did get it that cheap Cheer's to him!
He's in australia so I'd say it only cost him 1/4 of what is does to import one to the US.
Those cars are wicked, I'd love to take one for a drive - or even get a ride in one.
Supra?? You're suck a ricer fanboi.
for 120,000 i rather a twin turbo 993 porsche then a silly skyline......
Supra, jesus, isn't those yesterdays news?
Took the words right out of my mouth.
120K USD (not AMD lol processor) will buy you a 996 Turbo, also. Think about it, you can have a twin-turbo 6 cylinder front-engine overweight Japanese coupe with AWD or you can have a Twin-turbo 6 cylinder AWD German sports car. A proper sporting car, at that. Not exactly a tough choice! You'd have to be a ricer fanboi to buy the Skyline.
A TT911 will do, or perhaps a highly modded Z06....
Hell, even a stock Z06 and a nice money market account would suit me better...
Exactly. Although a 993 air cooled is seen as more of a genuine Porsche then the newer 996. Don't take this wrong, both are amazing cars.
As for the Z06, yup, great cars for track duty. Some simple mods and it will eat up some high priced exotics. Its one of those cars that you need to drive to appreciate it and before one can past judgment. Most think domestic junk, but there is a reason why it has been named the best corvette ever.
I agree with you on the 993 being more of a 'purist' car, particularly the 911 Turbo S. What a sexy machine. Thing is, I'm 6'3" and the 996 fits a whole HELL of a lot better!
Yeah the 993 cars weren't known for their head room. Although some taller drivers that track there cars have found replacing the front seat with a gt2/gt3 spec seat or racing seat to help.
The 911 turbo s is a very rare car in north america. 120,000 might find you one. Similar to the 996 X50 package, which is a mint piece of gear.
Where are you guys getting 120,000 USD from?
He paid $80,000 AUD
80,000.00 AUD = 57,788.79 USD = 73,237.21 CAD
I see nothing wrong with bying a brand new Skyline for that price. It's an amazing car with loads of potential.
From Digital Ricer Fanboi stating there are people out there paying 120K USD for them. 70K CAD isn't too shabby.
That is what the car would cost to purchase here.
The car is also available for sale in Austrailia, as well as for import. Plus they drive RHD cars over there anyway... that is a no-brainer. For THAT price, it isn't a bad deal. For $60K I would still get a Z06 or M3.
Meh, it doesn't impress me. Fanboi shit, nothing truly spectacular about it save for it's reputation and the fact that it isn't available for purchase here.
Z06 or this... it's an easy question for me
Easy for me, too. Brand-new proper sports car (RWD, 2 seater) that is lithe and good on it's feet or a car that is getting on in age (that is an R33, likely nearly a decade on) and is overweight and AWD? Please, I'll take the real sports car anyday over the GT pretender.
Fair enough. This goes back to my classic car comments. I'm more into high technology cars. In dash G-Meter > Leaf Spring suspension!
In-dash G meter is a gimmick to me, and it's not terribly accurate. The 'vette has 4 wheel independent suspension that is very advanced, and the Z06 will easily outhandle any stock Skyline. Plus I regularly see C5R's ripping new assholes in the Speed GT/ALMS races. Don't see any Skylines doing much out there...
