whers teh best and cheapest place to pick one of these up in the city?
Give Carsand a go.
ohhh wait...i have only told you this about 20 times now over the past few months.
was jsut wonderin if theer was anywhers else G.. theres are huge liek 8x10 was hoping to get a lil smaller one
any other photo store, you can get the lens cap or a whibal card
I was looking at a keychain version at Carsand yesterday... $40!!!
Check the very back of the photoshop book you picked up. thats where i got mine.
And so there is. White card, black, lt grey and grey
WICKED!!!!!!!!!! does it work well did you laminate it also?? so when shooting you use teh light grey or the darker color? im guessing the lighter by the way its labelled
i never even noticed them.. LOL
what are the others used for
To be honest i have never ever used it. If there is any WB issues i just adjust it in lightroom.
I bet the book will tell you
probably!! i am focusing on teh understanding exposuer book right now more important i think
I just ordered a white balance lens cap off ebay for $5, it might be shit but oh well it was $5
I'm not sure you want to laminate it....
why? why not take 5 secodns and get a very accurate WB...then when you pop it open in lightroom, you have something very reliable to sample from. just do one shot with the subject holding a grey card in each different lighting situation.
Sounds good, but i just like having something larger to work with. when i'm not using it it fits in my bag nicely so size really isn't an issue.
thanks G. just wondered if it would gget scuffed up alot in teh bag..
Its just one more step that im not really up for honestly. Auto WB gets me close enough and it only takes two seconds in lightroom for any final adjustments. It might not be perfect but its close enough for what i would like. Some day maybe i will start using it more... who knows!
what size card do you have? is it just one of the $20 mennons?
yeaah like 8x10ish
