** don't mind the ugly jpg compression **

It was really more headache than what it was worth. If I had to do it again, I'd just take the peices into a bodyshop! LOL. :D

Let me know what you think! :)

    i like,
i would get some 1000 grit sand paper
do a light sanding, and repaint, it will make it more vibrent

    but it looks good man

I can't count how many times I've sanded and painted and sanded and painted and... well. You get the idea. :G

I have no clearcoat on it. The paint I used has urethane(?) in it, which is suppose to make it really hard. Adding clear isn't suppose to make it any more durable. And if I do end up taking a chip out of it, having clear on there will make it more difficult to touch up. ( Or so I'm told... heheh. I'm no paint expert by any stretch of the imagination. This was kind of a learn-as-I-go type of thing. ) :)

While this is theoretically true, clear coating will make it harder for the chips to appear. Urethane paint should be just as good I would think though..

Doesn't clearcoat bring out the shine as well as protect?

I've seen much worse than what he's done. I like the red and I don't think it is overdone or anything

werd! You did a sweet job though.

I went through a painted interior phase, and it pushed me to hate it and realize its tacky. Wound up burning it all in my backyard one afternoon.

I also ruined my car a couple years back with a painted interior in aluminum however I painted mostly over what the previous owner had painted red. Way to ruin your interior, believe me you'll regret it in due time. I can't beleive you would paint a brand new vehicle's interior talk about a drop in resale :ugh:

Well I appreciate EVERYONE'S comments, positive or negative. Everyone has their own sense of style and tastes.

To tell you the truth, I don't know how I feel about it quite yet. Sometimes I look at it and love it, other times I feel it's a bit much. I am, however, proud that I was able to do it, from start to finish, and have it come out looking quite good for what it is. My car is being put in a show next month, figured I better do something to style it up a bit. After the show, the paint may stay, or it may go. At this point, who knows. I have a feeling it's going to grow on me though. :)

I think it looks great. You did an awsome job. I think some clear on it now would make it look that much better.

Myself I like painted interiors as long as the paint sceme flows with the rest of the interior and the car in general and it is done well. Anyone can throw some paint on something and call it a custom interior. It's the ones that are thought out and done right that I like.

Here are some pics of mine, I still have to finnished installing the center console, new steering wheel, and new seats.
