Freezing in the bootscreen

    my sisters computer, which the warranty just expired, is freezing in the bootscreen.

    anyone know what the prob could be or how to fix it?

    Look for the Leaf
    Is it freezing or bluescreening. Is it windows xp or 98. HAve you tried unplugging it from the internet (if you have hispeed, sometimes a network card will wait for a real long time to rec a ping back, especially if they start to go bad.)
    Did you install anything recently, hardware or software wise. A bad driver might cause the system to hang. Can you ctrl-alt-delete and get it to reboot.

    Just ryhming things off since theres a lack of info in yur post.

    winxp
    was recently formated, it had a driver error the other day and bluescreened and has been formated since
    wireless network is always on
    dunno about the control atl del

    its freezing in the screen that says DELL not the winxp screen.
