Good catch lights in the baby's eyes, and highlight on lower lip.

I don't see the "jaggies" so I can't comment on that.

What quality are you saving it at? It looks like it was saved very low.

Ok I need help here. I got the first picture printed and it came out with a pink/majenta cast. Is it the print quality or is it my pictures fault?

I tried costco and Walmart, the color was the same. I didn't really like costco. it's like walmart has a "smoother" print. I really don't know how to explain it but I feel wierd saying it but I liked walmart over costco. I didn't use a grey card, I really don't know how to use that. If I shoot with my lights shouldn't I set my WB at 5600? And another question, how do I calibrate my m onitor and is it really necessary?

lol what is it you don't like about the prints from carsand? their printing is perfectly fine.
costco is fine, but i find on bigger prints you always have to trim a bunch of white off of edges randomly....also you have to always make sure the 'auto correct' is off @ costco.

walmart prints are garbage. i tried a bunch of places when i was looking for bulk options for 4x6. walmart=garbage superstore=not much better than garbage shoppers=hit and miss aps, costco and carsand are all roughly the same quality.
    i have printed a LOT.

it's absolutely 100% necessary. no ifs ans or buts. you can 'try' to eyeball it with a few different software progs, but to get it accurate you NEED to pick up a hardware calibration tool. I haven't tried anything except for the spyder line. but have heard some of the other, cheaper alternatives do just as good of a job.

as for wb, you should definately learn how to properly use a grey card. it's just good a good practice to follow. it will assure you are getting proper WB.

White edges, do you mean the white border? I used the machine where you put in your memory stick. I didn't notice an auto correct option... Is this when you order them online?

they will both do a good job.
the pro i think will give you better options for more than onle display etc etc.
but to be honest the express will probly be just fine for you. if there is a big price diff go with the 2, if it's similarily priced, go 3 pro.

Sounds like a plan. More $$ out of my pocket. Sweet though, more tools to make my pictures better.

Now for the gray card... isn't that the same as using a flash meter??

Your image has a colour cast, I sampled the white background at f3eef3 in an 11x11px average...
