Amazing car and I'm sure it's functional but I'm not feeling the wings that are coming out of the rear pillars.

This car is still porn though.

That is a buttress, not a pillar. There is no structural element to that panel, just aerodynamic benefit.

Without the buttress, it'd look like a C6 Corvette from above!

Ahh I see what you mean there now, I hadn't looked beyond the wing-let. You're very right about the vette part if that were removed

Better pics, more in depth press release up top.

No really sure what's with the double tailpipes (the "normal" ones and those in place of taillights).

I love it... but... those winglets... was that really the best looking way they could think to add extra downforce?

Wait, you want them to find the best LOOKING way to make a functional aerodynamic aid?

    Really?

I'm just saying, there has to be a functional form of downforce that isn't so gaudy. I totally agree with function over form, but I just find it hard to believe that those winglets coudln't be engineered to flow better with the body of the car (and still be functional).

Maybe, or.... maybe Ferrari's aerodynamics engineers know what the fuck they're doing.

Is that too much to ask? Isn't that the point of a car? To find the best looking way to make it functionally aerodynamic?

It just seems like they finished the car, put it in a wind tunnel, weren't happy with the results, so the added a quick fix to obtain the numbers they were expecting. I dunno, I just don't like the look of them, though I'm sure they work great

Clearly that is not the point of this vehicle, no.

True. Which is perfectly fine. I'm just voicing my opinion on the design, which has no consequence as I'll obviously never be able to afford something like that. I'd still drive the fuck out of that car, even if it does look like the flying nun.

Does it count if that car could poop on your face, then wipe it's own arse with the winglets?

Look like a pretty trick way to spill extra air onto the rear wing.
Wouldn't suit the street version, but this is a race car, so anything goes really!

I absolutely think that is one of the best looking race cars I have seen in a long time.
