I have a P4 2.7, 512 MB yada yada yada. I installed Sysmetrix to keep track of a lot of crap I got going on, but my fan speed and CPU Temps are dead. See pic: How do I get that info on my screen? Thanks!
http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=28 You gotta register after so many downloads, but it's totally free.
I played with SysMetrix a few times, don't you have to have Motherboard monitor installed as well to get the temperature components working? Seems to me it doesn't include the drivers for all the different temperature sensors. Could be wrong though. Check out the readme.
where else is there tempature Applications I can install....... My computer runs hot, I just want to know how hot.
it shows right there that your sys temp is 32C which is good.... your fan speed is not working cause it's probably looking at the wrong monitor.
Perhaps your mobo/bios doesn't support that type of monitoring... the motherboard has to have the capability to relay that info to the program. Cool looking program though!
As a certified Dell tech, i'm going to say that's your problem. These are (for the most part) cheap computers built with cheap components. I doubt it has onboard monitoring incorporated into the mobo.
Just to be sure, reboot your machine and enter the bios. Snoop around in there to see if there is anything to do with system monitoring. If you can't find anything, well.... you have your answer.
