How much do you think it would cost to express post a transcript from the Valley to Calgary? Just curious...

    Holy crap.
Just to send an envelope? That sucks. I thought it'd be like no more than $10.

It's already sent but I'm just wondering because I got my transcript express posted from Ste. Anne. I had to pay 12$ for the damn sheet of paper itself which is free here at the Mount. They said it would be 15$ to express post so I assumed that included the cost of the transcript. Check my Visa and notice that I was charged 27$. I call and she told me that it's 12$ for the transcript and 15$ on top to get it expressed. There is NO way that it costs 15$ when I express posted a heavy PACKAGE from the same location, to home and it cost me like 2$. How can a sheet of paper cost 15$?

Ohhh and I should mention that on top of that, I put the order in on the 7th and when I called the college on the 15th, they had just gotten it the day before so it was hardly expressed.

Why does it need to be express posted?

the distance between ste.anne and your house is a wee bit smaller than the distance from here to calgary.

Most places charge for transcripts and $15 is reasonable for cross country

I know that but my point is that it was a heavy package and still only cost 2$...where this is a sheet of paper and cost 15$

I can't believe it was $2.00 to send a package anywheres.

Well I'm more upset that I paid 15$ to have it expressed when they probably didn't get it any sooner. I sent Brad mail and regular post he usually had it within 3-4 days.

Why didn't you scan it and email it? Was that not allowed? Or not an option?

First one must not have been express post... 2lb package from Dartmouth to Clayton Park = $9.00 for two day service

I assumed it would be faster and from they way she said it, it sounded like it was 15$ for the transcript and the express post

Because then I would have had to wait for it to arrive here and they need an official one with a stamp.

Probably an "official" transcript that needs to be in a sealed envelope with the institute's stamp on the seal.

Well this was a good 2 years ago but I remember it being 9$ regular post and then I ended up paying almost 12$ for it to be express posted. I wouldn't have done it but I was surprised at how cheap it was.

Yes because it's 15$ that I wouldn't have spent if I knew they wouldn't get it any sooner.
