    fuck Irving lol.

i spend $5000+ a year in fuel. I think i am going to switch to Airmiles. I know you don't get as many points per dollar but atleast i can use them towards flying home every so often.

I have 73,541 Esso Extra points, give or take a few. Did they recently change what they're worth? I worked it out one day and if I transferred them to HBC points, I could have got some nice stuff.

    .05 * 250L = $12.50

    Hardly worth the effort IMO

I wish there was a Sobeys gas bar closer to me than Bedford. The only time I use it is to fill up the bike before group rides since we meet across the street.

I agree that most points/rewards cards aren't worth the effort. I don't go out of my way to use them. But if I'm shopping at the retailer anyway then I will use them.

Wilsons in Sackville with 3.5 cents off per litre cash or debit every day FTW :)

I thought you weren't allowed to do that? One girl at boston pizza was asking her guests if she could use her airmiles when they didn't have one, and she got fired for "stealing" airmiles.

Every day! 2 cents off every day at the one in Fall River too except for Thursdays and I think the Thursday 3.5 cents off deal is for supreme only.

I used to work at Petro Canada, and have seen people fired for stealing points.

With that said, when I worked there, I had seven different points cards. You just swipe one or two different ones each time you work. If they see the same card run through too many times, they investigate it. They have people that actually monitor it...

They are without a doubt a waste of time. It just buys you in. If you have an Esso card, you want to buy your gas there so you get points. You'll drive past the Irving and other stations when you need gas.

That's $1,800 spent at the station to receive $10 credit.

But if you buy middle grade fuel you'll get double and high grade fuel triple the points. So if you use supreme you'd save $10 every $600 spent.

Still a rip off, but it'd be worth your time at least.

What station takes Airmiles? Esso takes Aeroplan, but you only get 1 point every $3.

I tend to use my esso points for car washes to get the salt off my car.
    Probably have 500-1000 currently :hsugh:

Lately i've been going to Ultramar, since with they're ValueMax card you save 2 or 3 cents per liter.
