Bit of a stretch from the OG vehicle, but it looks badass nonetheless. http://www.autoblog.com/photos/volga-bodied-cadillac-escalade/1333831/
I actually like those rims on it, although they're obviously from the 'Slade. They could have at least put different centre caps...
Here's their last piece - a GAZ-21 Volga built on a Cayenne. I hadn't posted it before because of the hideous commie airbrush job, or the fact that the (again) stock rims don't fit at all (and are also painted hideously), or the fact that's bones are an SUV are evident by the sky-high rear end. Interesting though...
Oh - and for people wondering what the hell a Volga is, the taxi Bourne drove in Russia was a Volga. They actually just bought the tooling for the last gen Sebring (their previous bodystyle basically lasted for like 50 years).
I followed this home after it drove by me last summer, the owner was super cool and after I took pictures of it he opened his garage to pull out a mint Model T ford. He restored it and daily drives in teh summer. Apparently the hot rod truck has all 1990 GM running gear so finding parts / repairs is a breeze. I fucking love it!
Why do hot rod people put a GM engine/parts in a Ford or vice versa? Seems like it would be blasphemous. I suppose it depends on what fits.
