Religion is a business and should be treated as such. If you choose to be one of their customers, have at it but don't get upset when I give them a 0 star rating. If I talked shit on Costco, would you get upset too? lol

I definitely believe that. I'm not saying we all need to open a Bible. I don't even own one! I don't go to church. But I was raised in a religious family and know how important it is to some people and don't think it's something that should be mocked at every opportunity.

You are free to believe that there's an imaginary man responsible for everything in life and I'm free to make fun of you for believing it. I think we can agree that this freedom is what makes our country one of the best in the world :)

And you are free to just go on living your life of being an arrogant dick who belittles others for personal beliefs. I'm not trying to influence you into believing anything or changing your beliefs. I'm simply asking you not to be a dick to myself or others for something that I consider deeply personal. Have at it if someone comes on here bible thumping or trying to convert you into joining the Jehovah' Witnesses or whatever. But because I mentioned I don't appreciate you shitting on religion all the time... I'm the bad guy? You chose to compare it to Costco? I'm just asking you to lay off a bit when it comes to religion. That's all man. But you do you!

Totally not a religious person, was raised catholic and forced to go to church throughout my upbringing but stopped many many years ago. I also believe that they are the most corrupt, hypocritical institutions out there that prey on people but I also don’t feel the need to shit all over anyone that believes it. I feel that that is what is wrong with our society currently. Everything is a camp and if you don’t agree with the other persons camp feel free to degrade it / them as much as possible. There is not a healthy respect for the difference of opinion any more and a lot of the threads here are perfect examples of it. Because you don’t agree with what someone says it doesn’t leave the door wide open to increasing insults to the level of resorting to personal attacks which happen here quite often wether it is in regard to politics, religion, or Covid. Just saying Someone makes a post and the the two bandwagons fill up quick with torches lit. It really turns it into a trying to force your beliefs on someone because you disagree with theirs.

"Trudeau calls anti-vaxxers racists and misogynists."

Quite a hot take to summarize 45 seconds of Trudeau speaking. He said the anti vaxxer extremists often share views of racists/misogynists/anti science/etc. He's not wrong.

Also, the only people who seem to care about Trudeau in blackface 25 years ago are bitter conservatives.

I am a bitter libertarian :shrug2: and like I have said before if you think that just because it was 25 years ago the racism doesn't still exist you are a fool it's a pattern right from high school on until just before he started in politics He was a high school teacher doing this anyone else would have been fired that was proven last Halloween.

I don't even think blackface is racist under certain contexts. I think if you dress up as a genie and color your skin dark with makeup, it's committing to the costume. I don't know why everything has to be so cut and dry in this politically correct world. The actual dark skinned people he was partying with didn't seem to find it racist so I'm gonna say that's a pretty clear indicator it wasn't meant in a racist way.

There are things that are intentionally racist, things that are racist due to ignorance, and things that were once acceptable due to ignorance on a much larger scale, that are no longer acceptable now. As it seems that nobody had an issue with it back then, he wasn’t reprimanded or even reported, I think it falls into the last category. It’s weird how the conservative side is up in arms over this when they are typically the ones upset over cancel culture and political correctness.

That can't be further from the truth and is just the typical liberal propaganda Bullshit. Do you think if I went to Richmond and had another Caucasian person with me that spoke fluent Cantonese and Mandarin just spoke English wandering around china town and Richmond, do you think we wouldn't hear anything being said about us. I JUST USED THIS COMMUNITY AS AN EXAMPLE I HAVE NOTHING PERSONAL AGAINST THEM. Or if I went to Surrey or Toronto and did the same thing in different communities.... do you think you would find any racism? Or do you consider that racism because they are hatin on whitey (it's okay I can say that) ?
I just wish everyone would just realize that we are all on the same rock and we all have to live together on it. We may not have come from the same chunk of dirt on this rock but it is all the same Dog Damn Rock.
We all have the same blood and guts.We all need the same 3 things to survive
    1. Food,
    2. Shelter
    3. Water.
And without those ain't none of us going to go no where on this big chunk of granite
