he’s toast. There’s no way the cpc is stupid enough to keep him, they booted Scheer who won more popular votes and actually gained them seats. Cpc support is dwindling if you actually look at the data and ignore the memes

We are busy saying goodbye to Canada and the thought of our children ever being able to buy a house. :(

Yep, she'd be a good fit too. I have no idea who the Liberals would trot out as a new leader that isn't just more of the same.

You also have to remember that the popular vote isn't really worth looking at with our system. People would vote much differently if we didn't have the first past the post system that we do. Think about how many people didn't vote because they felt their vote wouldn't count for anything.

I don’t see Trudeau calling it before 24 months and if the opposition does it will hand him a gift wrapped majority

unless there’s new leadership all around. Then let’s go

While I agree... Then why did he run off at the mouth and state he'd call one in 18 months if he doesn't get his majority? Other than to act like a spoiled brat? :kekeke:

I think it will depend on what happens in the CPC camp, it's pretty quiet today
I am pretty sure it's policy to boot the leader but wholly fuck as much as I want a new one I am scared as fuck as who we are going to get.
Look at the track record they have had, is the third time really a charm?
I would love to see a strong woman run for leader, Rona would be a home run but she said she was done with federal politics when she left. Leslyn Lewis won her seat she may run for leadership again, I liked her platform just not her abortion views.......I need to pour a nice glass of bourbon relax and just turn off the politics in my brain off for a few hours or at least try...

Holy crap. I didn't know much about her so just did some googling and read up on her. Jesus, what a train wreck. I assume you're joking that she'd be a good leader?

You already described it partly with the “big R” Right description.

As far as I can tell from reading up on the last CPC leadership convention, the main appeal she had was being a black woman who the CPC could parade in front of Trudeau. No actual leadership skills, not great at debate, etc. etc.

But mostly, it’s the social conservatism.

I want Pierre Poilievre to run for leadership.

Hate some of his views, but love others. Like Leslyn Lewis.

    Lol.

Who am I kidding. I just like their push back on silly political "correctness"

It's actually pretty smart liberal strategy. Keep snuffing out the 'new' CPC leaders until there's nobody left to do the job. By 2025 they'll be doing random draws to determine who's going to lead.

Pierre Poilievre... He is the MP in my riding he is a douche.. most people where I live didn't want him, but his riding is so large with a lot of rural area ( farmers) who voted him in, I would be surprised if next election the gets in with all the new neighborhoods being built and its a Fed gov town so they will vote liberal.
