It's a pretty sad world when we have to identify as a particular party and then offer carte blanche indemnity in perpetuity to the leader for whatever he or she does.

Scheer doesn't have to post fake photos of Trudeau hanging with extremists. JT willingly meets with them, or brings them to India.

Like Boots said, go vote you patriotic fucks.

    Vote early and vote often.

EDIT: Ed the Sock is in town hanging outside polling stations doing stuff for 22 Minutes. Bonus points if you get a pic with him.

It's a shame that these people are supposed to be leaders. None of the major party leaders can be used as an example to future generations of what being a Canadian, or any citizen for that matter, should be.

If you don't like the people, get involved and make a change and throw your name on the ballot

That's not my point. I'm not suggesting I could do better, nor could you pay me enough to subject myself or my family to that. My point is, these people that are supposed to be the face of the country, the person who best move the country forward with the majority's best interests at heart, who should personify the values of the masses, have stooped down to children in a school yard throwing mud at each other and claiming nothing more than the other kid is worse than he / she is.

Liberal government. Still too soon to determine minority or majority

It was the best outcome - message to Trudeau that he isn't invincible. Message to Scheer that he was not the right leader - I hope he steps down and someone with some substance takes over for the CPC. Man, I would love someone to convince Peter MacKay to come back. With the NDP getting enough votes, the Liberals at least have a party to try and work with. We would be going back to the polls in less than a year if they were stuck trying to work with the BQ.

Well would.you look at that, we actually agree on something. I'd have preferred a con minority, would make Canadians look a little bit less daft.

Even the panel commented tonight many times how pathetic it was that Scheer couldnt defeat the disaster that was the Trudeau govt

    I 100% agree

I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Peter MacKay. I’d like to see him step up for the leadership.

This was Scheer’s election to lose. He ran a campaign based on “I’m not Trudeau” and massive disinformation and he deserves what he ended up with. A good conservative candidate with the clean campaign and a reasonable platform can sweep the next election, hopefully Trudeau understands this as well.

Yeah I'm happy with the outcome. Peter Mackay would definitely be worth hearing out. Scheer can kick rocks though.. that guy sucks. Also noteworthy that Bernier didn't even get elected lol

This certainly isn't the worse case scenario, how we have a party that is only represented in one province getting almost as many seats as the Maritimes have available is mind boggling. I think it is worth noting that the tories did have the popular vote.

I understand there were chants of " We want a country" at the Bloc victory party. Quebec wanting to separate is even more ludicrous than Alberta wanting to do so.

I understand the frustration, but it would take so long for an independent province to be prosperous.

Their leader was well spoken, much better than Turdeau and Cyril Scheer.

I immediately unfriended a bunch of people on Facebook sharing Wexit garbage this morning. No tolerance for that traitorous BS.

    A redneck Quebec rallying cry.

I mean - nothing new, really, but WTF is up in Quebec lately? Racist laws! Let’s bring back Nationalism!

As long as the parties can act like adults in parliament rather than looking for every opportunity to go back to the polls, a minority isn't a bad thing. Unfortunately with Scheer in the lead, I think everyday will be a new Road block. Hopefully he goes fast and someone steps in that can really define what the conservative party is all about, steps in.

Best thing that could happen to the conservatives is Scheer getting the boot and a moderate leader stepping up with an actual platform to run on.

It was. They gained 20 some seats, it was not the result they wanted but it's what we got
