I have little desire to live elsewhere. Possibly move further out of the city if too many people start living here. I'm convinced quality of life goes down the more people live around you.

wexit is a word that instantly makes me tune out. The motion of Alberta separating is absolutely absurd and the logistics of it even more so. Tariffs, trade deals and currency valuation would snuff it out in months, maybe even weeks.

    .
I am sitting here laughing because I know you are going to go down the 101 if you move
Oh Dog my Dad is out in the Valley (bottom of the South Mountain) and he is already complaining about "you folks" moving out to there to "get away form the city"
I agree with the quality of life I have always lived in mostly rural settings until about 10 years ago I moved closer to a small city to have better medical care and it's been a bit of an eye opener for a country boy :elgranto::eek7: addicts shooting up in doorways and shit like that :eek4:
FYI Both my parents are there but my Mom doesn't care it's just my Dad complaining, I get that from him :finger:

Exactly I agree with you, but now let's talk to the Bloc Québécois or Quebec in general and why the government bends over backwards to their every whim or whisper at separation and distinct society. Every little town/area across Canada has it own "distinct society" when it comes to their history and background.

This is what the MP's from Alberta are or were pushing for I am not sure if it's still a thing or not I don't follow it or know anything about it I am just making you aware of it so don't shoot the messenger "I know nothing"

Dude they won't read it.. Deaf ears. Anytime I make a point the subject gets changed or answered with a completely separate point.

Might just be me but you always seem to be the one to change the subject. I read everything you and KMDKMD post - I welcome diverse opinions and am always looking to look at things from other perspectives. Conversely, if one person disagrees with something you post, you call it dog piling and go cry in a corner.

Read through most of the site. Some observations:

    - they need to hire an editor. Ain't nobody got the time to read all of that!
    - A better summary of what they are trying to say would be:
    a) we don't trust people from "the East".
    b) the balance of power in Canada is too centered in Ontario & Quebec
    c) We're sitting on the oil. It's not fair that we have to share the income from that and, more recently, we shouldn't be shackled by things like thinking about "climate change" - people working and killing the planet is more important.

I do agree with b). I don't think Alberta leaving the country will solve it, though.

Are they for separation or fair representation for the West? I thought it was the latter but I really should read the that document some time.
    b) Is correct when an election is decided in ON an QC by the time the polls close in the West the balance of power is to centered there.
    c) Oil is not going anywhere anytime soon but instead of using AB oil our Gov would rather spend billions a year importing oil from Saudi Arabia or the US does that make a lot of fiscal sense to you?
If only we had a pipeline that we could get that oil from AB to NB or out to the North coast or even get Trans Mountain built but the liberals are taking their sweet time with that I mean how much did we over pay for that one?

Ummm Alberta paid $1.5 billion that we will never see back.

Also started construction and created thousands of jobs. But those with lesser aspirations for Alberta decided to squash that.

    Just saying.

Not wanting to dump money into something with a very questionable future is the fiscal responsibility you're complaining about not having. On one hand you're yelling at the government for wasting money but on the other hand you want them to dump billions into pipelines at a time where the world is doing everything it can to move away from oil. Can't have it both ways.

Because the liberals want it rammed through before the up coming election and they were trying to do everything possible to do it and they had the NDP and Bloc supporting them. Even if it meant breaking as many rules as possible.
Now I doubt it will happen because they likely won't have enough time to get everything done, so that's a good thing.

Ahhh. Lovely, a meme probably made by Russians attempting to influence the world to a divided, right leaning future. Good job both liking and sharing it further.

I am not sure if anyone is following this here just more Liberal Shitery and Tomfoolery...

This was an article from June 1 When a Judge ordered the Government must share the information it used to ban the firearm in their OIC
    https://firearmrights.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Letter-to-FC-re-s-39-Certificate60712.pdf

And this is their latest update at fighting that ruling and dragging their feet I am not sure why they are doing this and not just sharing this information...:scratch:What do they have to hide?

the election he lost and the one after would indicate: no

lockdowns were up to provincial governments, not federal. the only thing federally controlled were the international borders.
